IN THE beginning God created the heaven and the earth. Now the earth was unformed and void, and darkness was upon the face of the deep; and the spirit of God hovered over the face of the waters.(Genesis 1:1,2)

But it is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty, that giveth them understanding.(Job 32:8)

Before the silver cord is snapped asunder, and the golden bowl is shattered, and the pitcher is broken at the fountain, and the wheel falleth shattered, into the pit; And the dust returneth to the earth as it was, and the spirit returneth unto God who gave it.(Ecclesiastes 12:6,7)

Put not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man, in whom there is no help. His breath goeth forth, he returneth to his dust; in that very day his thoughts perish.(Psalms 146:3,4)

A habitação do Espírito Santo no crente

As promessas proféticas e o discernimento

And I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the stony heart out of their flesh, and will give them a heart of flesh; that they may walk in My statutes, and keep Mine ordinances, and do them; and they shall be My people, and I will be their God.(Ezekiel 11:19,20)

Thus saith the Lord GOD unto these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live.(Ezekiel 37:5)

The spirit of the Lord GOD is upon me; because the LORD hath anointed me to bring good tidings unto the humble; He hath sent me to bind up the broken-hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the eyes to them that are bound;(Isaiah 61:1)

Then he answered and spoke unto me, saying: 'This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying: Not by might, nor by power, but by My spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.(Zechariah 4:6)

Turn you at my reproof; behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you.(Proverbs 1:23)

All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.(Proverbs 16:2)

Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall. Better it is to be of a lowly spirit with the humble, than to divide the spoil with the proud.(Proverbs 16:18,19)

He that is slow to anger is better than the mighty; and he that ruleth his spirit than he that taketh a city.(Proverbs 16:32)

The spirit of man is the lamp of the LORD, searching all the inward parts.(Proverbs 20:27)

(3-32) It hath seemed good unto me to declare the signs and wonders that God Most High hath wrought toward me. (3-33) How great are His signs! and how mighty are His wonders! His kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and His dominion is from generation to generation.(Daniel 4:2,3)

(51-12) Create me a clean heart, O God; and renew a stedfast spirit within me. (51-13) Cast me not away from Thy presence; and take not Thy holy spirit from me. (51-14) Restore unto me the joy of Thy salvation; and let a willing spirit uphold me.(Psalms 51:10-12)

(51-19) The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit; a broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise.(Psalms 51:17)

(34-19) The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart, and saveth such as are of a contrite spirit.(Psalms 34:18)
