Estudar a Bíblia
Estudar a Bíblia é mergulhar na mente de Deus. A Palavra é lâmpada para os pés, espada do Espírito e alimento para a alma. O cristão que estuda cresce em sabedoria e maturidade.
A importância do estudo
Os bereanos eram mais nobres porque examinavam as Escrituras diariamente. Estudar a Bíblia é mandamento e privilégio.
and these were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Writings every day [to see] whether those things were so;
be diligent to present yourself approved to God—a workman not ashamed, straightly cutting the word of truth;
and because you have known the Holy Writings from infancy, which are able to make you wise—to salvation, through faith that [is] in Christ Jesus. Every Writing [is] God-breathed, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction that [is] in righteousness, that the man of God may be fitted—having been completed for every good work.
until I come, give heed to the reading, to the exhortation, to the teaching;
You search the Writings, because you think in them to have continuous life, and these are they that are testifying concerning Me;
Meditar e guardar
Não se aparte a lei do Senhor da tua boca. Medita nela de dia e de noite para que cumpras tudo o que nela está escrito.
the scroll of this Law does not depart out of your mouth, and you have meditated in it by day and by night, so that you observe to do according to all that is written in it, for then you cause your way to prosper, and then you act wisely.
[NUN] Your word [is] a lamp to my foot, || And a light to my path.
[MEM] O how I have loved Your law! It [is] my meditation all the day. Your command makes me wiser than my enemies, || For it [is] before me for all time. I have acted wisely above all my teachers. For Your testimonies [are] my meditation.
[BETH] With what does a young man purify his path? To observe—according to Your word. I have sought You with all my heart, || Do not let me err from Your commands. I have hid Your saying in my heart, || That I do not sin before You. Blessed [are] You, O YHWH, teach me Your statutes. With my lips I have recounted || All the judgments of Your mouth. I have rejoiced in the way of Your testimonies, || As over all wealth. I meditate on Your precepts, || And I attentively behold Your paths. I delight myself in Your statutes, || I do not forget Your word.
I confess You with uprightness of heart, || In my learning the judgments of Your righteousness.
Estudo diligente
Esdras preparou o coração para buscar e ensinar a lei. O estudo exige disciplina, constância e coração aberto.
for on the first of the month he has founded the ascent from Babylon, and on the first of the fifth month he has come to Jerusalem, according to the good hand of his God on him, for Ezra has prepared his heart to seek the Law of YHWH, and to do, and to teach in Israel statute and judgment.
And you have loved your God YHWH with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. And these words which I am commanding you today have been on your heart, and you have repeated them to your sons, and spoken of them in your sitting in your house, and in your walking in the way, and in your lying down, and in your rising up, and have bound them for a sign on your hand, and they have been for frontlets between your eyes, and you have written them on doorposts of your house and on your gates.
And it has been, when he sits on the throne of his kingdom, that he has written a copy of this law for himself, on a scroll, from [that] before the priests, the Levites, and it has been with him, and he has read in it all [the] days of his life, so that he learns to fear his God YHWH, to keep all the words of this law and these statutes—to do them, so that his heart is not high above his brothers, and so as not to turn aside from the command [to] the right or left, so that he prolongs days over his kingdom, he and his sons in the midst of Israel."
Proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel: For knowing wisdom and instruction, || For understanding sayings of intelligence, For receiving the instruction of wisdom, || Righteousness, judgment, and uprightness, For giving to simple ones—prudence, || To a youth—knowledge and discretion. (The wise hear and increase learning, || And the intelligent obtain counsels.) For understanding a proverb and its sweetness, || Words of the wise and their acute sayings.
My son! Do not forget my law, || And let your heart keep my commands, For [the] length of [your] days and years, || Life and peace they add to you.
Lay hold on instruction, do not desist, || Keep her, for she [is] your life.
For the command [is] a lamp, || And the Law a light, || And a way of life [are] reproofs of instruction,
Proteção e crescimento
Quem ignora a Palavra perece. Toda Escritura é útil — crescei na graça e no conhecimento do nosso Senhor.
My people have been cut off for lack of knowledge, || Because you have rejected knowledge, || I reject you from being priest to Me, || And you forget the Law of your God—I forget your sons, I also!
