A simplicidade do evangelho é sua força. Deus escolheu as coisas loucas do mundo para confundir os sábios. O poder está na mensagem da cruz, não na eloquência humana.
but God chose the foolish things of the world that He may put the wise to shame; and God chose the weak things of the world that He may put the strong to shame; and God chose the base things of the world, and the things despised, and the things that are not, that He may make useless the things that are— that no flesh may glory before Him;
For Christ did not send me to immerse, but to proclaim good news, not in wisdom of discourse, that the Cross of the Christ may not be made of no effect;
and my word and my preaching was not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power—
and I, if I may be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men to Myself."
