A simplicidade do evangelho é sua força. Deus escolheu as coisas loucas do mundo para confundir os sábios. O poder está na mensagem da cruz, não na eloquência humana.
But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise, and God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. God chose what is lowly and despised in the world, things that are regarded as nothing, to nullify the things that are regarded as something, so that no flesh might boast before God.
For Christ did not send me to baptize, but to preach the gospel, and not with cleverness of speech, so that the cross of Christ would not be deprived of its power.
And my word and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but with a demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
And when I am lifted up from the earth, I will draw all people to myself."
