Evangelização
A evangelização é a missão suprema da Igreja. Jesus mandou: ide por todo o mundo e pregai o evangelho a toda criatura. O evangelho é poder de Deus para a salvação de todo aquele que crê.
A Grande Comissão
Ide, fazei discípulos de todas as nações. Jesus confiou a seus seguidores a missão de levar a boa notícia ao mundo inteiro.
Go ye, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit: teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.
And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to the whole creation.
But ye shall receive power, when the Holy Spirit is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
Ye are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.
Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost its savor, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out and trodden under foot of men.
Neither do men light a lamp, and put it under the bushel, but on the stand; and it shineth unto all that are in the house. Even so let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.
From that time began Jesus to preach, and to say, Repent ye; for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
O poder do evangelho
O evangelho é poder de Deus para a salvação. A fé vem pelo ouvir, e o ouvir pela Palavra de Cristo.
Testemunhar e proclamar
Estai sempre preparados para responder com mansidão a todo aquele que pedir razão da vossa esperança.
For so hath the Lord commanded us, saying,
I have set thee for a light of the Gentiles,
That thou shouldest be for salvation unto the uttermost part of the earth.
But I make no account, neither count I my life precious unto myself, so that I may accomplish my course with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify the gospel of the grace of God.
Jesus answered and said, Verily I say unto you, There is no man that hath left house, or brethren, or sisters, or father, or mother, or wife, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the gospel’s sake, but he shall receive a hundredfold now in this time, houses, and brethren, and sisters, and mothers, and children, and lands, with persecutions; and in the world to come eternal life.
For whosoever would save his life shall lose it; and whosoever shall lose his own life for my sake and the gospel’s, the same shall save it.
