Evangelização
A evangelização é a missão suprema da Igreja. Jesus mandou: ide por todo o mundo e pregai o evangelho a toda criatura. O evangelho é poder de Deus para a salvação de todo aquele que crê.
A Grande Comissão
Ide, fazei discípulos de todas as nações. Jesus confiou a seus seguidores a missão de levar a boa notícia ao mundo inteiro.
Go, then, to all peoples everywhere and make them my disciples: baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I have commanded you. And I will be with you always, to the end of the age."
He said to them, "Go throughout the whole world and preach the gospel to all people.
But when the Holy Spirit comes upon you, you will be filled with power, and you will be witnesses for me in Jerusalem, in all of Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
"You are like light for the whole world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid.
Salt and Light
"You are like salt for the whole human race. But if salt loses its saltiness, there is no way to make it salty again. It has become worthless, so it is thrown out and people trample on it.
No one lights a lamp and puts it under a bowl; instead it is put on the lampstand, where it gives light for everyone in the house. In the same way your light must shine before people, so that they will see the good things you do and praise your Father in heaven.
From that time Jesus began to preach his message: "Turn away from your sins, because the Kingdom of heaven is near!"
O poder do evangelho
O evangelho é poder de Deus para a salvação. A fé vem pelo ouvir, e o ouvir pela Palavra de Cristo.
The Power of the Gospel
I have complete confidence in the gospel; it is God’s power to save all who believe, first the Jews and also the Gentiles.
So then, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message comes through preaching Christ.
For while I was with you, I made up my mind to forget everything except Jesus Christ and especially his death on the cross.
The Resurrection of Christ
And now I want to remind you, my friends, of the Good News which I preached to you, which you received, and on which your faith stands firm. That is the gospel, the message that I preached to you. You are saved by the gospel if you hold firmly to it—unless it was for nothing that you believed.
God called you to this through the Good News we preached to you; he called you to possess your share of the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Testemunhar e proclamar
Estai sempre preparados para responder com mansidão a todo aquele que pedir razão da vossa esperança.
But have reverence for Christ in your hearts, and honor him as Lord. Be ready at all times to answer anyone who asks you to explain the hope you have in you,
If you have love for one another, then everyone will know that you are my disciples."
My Father’s glory is shown by your bearing much fruit; and in this way you become my disciples.
For this is the commandment that the Lord has given us:
‘I have made you a light for the Gentiles,
so that all the world may be saved.’"
But I reckon my own life to be worth nothing to me; I only want to complete my mission and finish the work that the Lord Jesus gave me to do, which is to declare the Good News about the grace of God.
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
because he has chosen me to bring good news to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives
and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set free the oppressed
"Yes," Jesus said to them, "and I tell you that those who leave home or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or fields for me and for the gospel, will receive much more in this present age. They will receive a hundred times more houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and fields—and persecutions as well; and in the age to come they will receive eternal life.
For if you want to save your own life, you will lose it; but if you lose your life for me and for the gospel, you will save it.
Fazer conhecer
Dai graças ao Senhor, invocai o seu nome, fazei conhecidas as suas obras entre os povos.
God and His People
Give thanks to the Lord,
proclaim his greatness;
tell the nations what he has done.
A day is coming when people will sing,
"Give thanks to the Lord! Call for him to help you!
Tell all the nations what he has done!
Tell them how great he is!
God’s plan is to make known his secret to his people, this rich and glorious secret which he has for all peoples. And the secret is that Christ is in you, which means that you will share in the glory of God.
Sound Doctrine
But you must teach what agrees with sound doctrine.
In this way I will show all the nations that I am great and that I am holy. They will know then that I am the Lord."
