Salt and Light

13 "You are the salt of the earth, but if salt loses its flavor, with what shall it be seasoned? It is no longer fit for anything but to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.

15 nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it shines for all who are in the house. 16 Let your light shine before others in such a way that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.

17 From that time Jesus began to preach, "Repent, for the kingdom of heaven has drawn near."

The Power of the Gospel

16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel *of Christ, because it is the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, both to the Jew first and also to the Greek.

17 So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing comes through the word of *God.

2 For I resolved to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified.

The Resurrection of Christ

1 Now I make known to you, brothers, the gospel that I preached to you, which you received, in which you stand, 2 and by which you are being saved, if you hold fast to the message that I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.

14 He called you to this through our gospel, so that you might obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 but sanctify *the Lord God in your hearts. Always be ready to make a defense to anyone who asks you for an explanation of the hope you have within you, *with gentleness and respect,

35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

18 "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,

to preach good news to the poor.

He has sent me *to heal the brokenhearted,

to proclaim release to the captives

and recovery of sight to the blind,

to set free the oppressed,

29 Jesus *answered, "Truly I say to you, there is no one who has left house, brothers, sisters, *father, mother, *wife, children, or fields, for my sake and for the sake of the gospel, 30 who will not receive now in this age a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, *12 ¦ fathers, mothers 𝔐9 ANT PCKmothers, children, and fields—along with persecutions—and in the age to come, eternal life.

35 For whoever wants to save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake and for the sake of the gospel will save it.

27 To them God resolved to make known how great among the Gentiles are the glorious riches of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.

Teach Sound Doctrine
