for you did not receive a spirit of bondage again for fear, but you received [the] Spirit of adoption in which we cry, "Abba! Father!" [This] One—the Spirit—testifies with our spirit, that we are children of God; and if children, also heirs, heirs, indeed, of God, and heirs together of Christ—if, indeed, we suffer together, that we may also be glorified together.
and when the fullness of time came, God sent forth His Son, come of a woman, come under law, that He may redeem those under law, that we may receive the adoption as sons; and because you are sons, God sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying, "Abba! Father!" So that you are no longer a servant, but a son, and if a son, also an heir of God through Christ.
for you are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for as many as were immersed into Christ put on Christ; there is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither servant nor freeman, there is neither male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus;
having foreordained us to the adoption of sons through Jesus Christ to Himself, according to the good pleasure of His will, to the praise of the glory of His grace, in which He made us accepted in the beloved,
For this cause I bow my knees to the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, of whom the whole family in the heavens and on earth is named,
but as many as received Him, to them He gave authority to become sons of God—to those believing in His Name, who were begotten, not of blood, nor of will of flesh, nor of will of man, but of God.
A comunidade de fé
Não abandonem a congregação. Somos um corpo em Cristo, membros uns dos outros, chamados a amar e a servir.
not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as [is] a custom of some, but exhorting, and so much the more as you see the Day coming near.
if you endure discipline, God bears Himself to you as to sons, for who is a son whom a father does not discipline? And if you are apart from discipline, of which all have become partakers, then you are bastards, and not sons. Then, indeed, we have had fathers of our flesh, correctors, and we respected [them]; will we not much rather be subject to the Father of the spirits, and live? For they, indeed, for a few days, according to what seemed good to them, were disciplining, but He for profit, to be partakers of His separation;
so we, the many, are one body in Christ, and members of one another—each one.
and whether one member suffers, all the members suffer with [it], or one member is glorified, all the members rejoice with [it];
Then, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow-citizens of the holy ones, and of the household of God, being built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Jesus Christ Himself being chief corner-[stone], in whom all the building fitly framed together increases to a holy temple in the LORD, in whom you also are built together, for a habitation of God in the Spirit.
Quem é minha família?
Jesus disse: quem faz a vontade de Deus, esse é meu irmão e irmã. A família de Deus inclui todos os que creem.
And He answered them, saying, "Who is My mother, or My brothers?" And having looked around in a circle to those sitting around Him, He says, "Behold, My mother and My brothers! For whoever may do the will of God, he is My brother, and My sister, and mother."
and the servant does not remain in the house—throughout the age, the Son remains—throughout the age;
Jesus then said to them, "If God were your father, you were loving Me, for I came forth from God, and am come; for neither have I come of Myself, but He sent Me;
You may not rebuke an elder, but exhort [him] as a father, younger persons as brothers, aged women as mothers, younger ones as sisters—in all purity;
See what love the Father has given to us, that we may be called children of God; because of this the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. Beloved, now, we are children of God, and it was not yet revealed what we will be. We have known that if He may have appeared, we will be like Him, because we will see Him as He is;
therefore, then, as we have opportunity, may we work the good to all, and especially to those of the household of faith.
