Filho do homem
Filho do Homem é o título que Jesus mais usou para si mesmo. Ele conecta sua humanidade plena com a visão profética de Daniel sobre o Messias glorioso que receberá domínio eterno.
A profecia de Daniel
Daniel viu alguém como o Filho do Homem vindo com as nuvens do céu. Foi-lhe dado domínio, glória e reino eterno.
As I continued to watch the vision that night,
I saw what looked like
a son of man
coming with the clouds of heaven,
and he was presented
to the Eternal God.
He was crowned king
and given power and glory,
so that all people
of every nation and race
would serve him.
He will rule forever,
and his kingdom is eternal,
never to be destroyed.
There with the lampstands was someone who seemed to be the Son of Man. He was wearing a robe that reached down to his feet, and a gold cloth was wrapped around his chest.
I looked and saw a bright cloud, and someone who seemed to be the Son of Man was sitting on the cloud. He wore a gold crown on his head and held a sharp sickle in his hand.
Then Stephen said, "I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right side of God!"
Jesus, o Filho do Homem
O Filho do Homem veio buscar e salvar o que se havia perdido. Ele tem autoridade para perdoar pecados e julgar.
Don’t be cruel to any of these little ones! I promise you their angels are always with my Father in heaven.
Jesus answered:
The one who scattered the good seed is the Son of Man.
He was in the stomach of a big fish for three days and nights, just as the Son of Man will be deep in the earth for three days and nights.
While Jesus and his disciples were going from place to place in Galilee, he told them, "The Son of Man will be handed over to people
Always be ready! You don’t know when the Son of Man will come.
When the Son of Man comes in his glory with all his angels, he will sit on his royal throne.
because he was teaching the disciples that the Son of Man would be handed over to people who would kill him. But three days later he would rise to life.
The Son of Man did not come to be a slave master, but a slave who will give his life to rescue many people.
But now you will see that the Son of Man has the right to forgive sins here on earth." Jesus then said to the man, "Get up! Pick up your mat and walk home."
Jesus said, "Foxes have dens, and birds have nests, but the Son of Man doesn’t have a place to call his own."
The day of the Son of Man will be like lightning flashing across the sky.
Glória e autoridade
Quando o Filho do Homem for levantado, atrairá todos a si. Ele é plenamente humano e plenamente divino.
Jesus went on to say, "When you have lifted up the Son of Man, you will know who I am. You will also know that I don’t do anything on my own. I say only what my Father taught me.
I tell you for certain you will see heaven open and God’s angels going up and coming down on the Son of Man."
Somewhere in the Scriptures someone says to God,
"What makes you care
about us humans?
Why are you concerned
for weaklings such as we?
