Filhos de Deus
Ser filho de Deus é o maior privilégio da existência humana. Pela fé em Cristo, recebemos o direito de ser chamados filhos de Deus — herdeiros de Deus e co-herdeiros com Cristo.
O direito de ser filho
A todos que creram no nome de Jesus, deu-lhes o poder de serem feitos filhos de Deus — nascidos não do sangue, mas de Deus.
Yet some people accepted him
and put their faith in him.
So he gave them the right
to be the children of God.
They were not God’s children
by nature or because
of any human desires.
God himself was the one
who made them his children.
God loved the people of this world so much that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who has faith in him will have eternal life and never really die.
But these are written so that you will put your faith in Jesus as the Messiah and the Son of God. If you have faith in him, you will have true life.
All of you are God’s children because of your faith in Christ Jesus. And when you were baptized, it was as though you had put on Christ in the same way you put on new clothes.
But when the time was right, God sent his Son, and a woman gave birth to him. His Son obeyed the Law, so he could set us free from the Law, and we could become God’s children.
You are no longer slaves. You are God’s children, and you will be given what he has promised.
A identidade dos filhos
O Espírito testifica com nosso espírito que somos filhos de Deus. E se filhos, também herdeiros — herdeiros de Deus.
Only those people who are led by God’s Spirit are his children. God’s Spirit doesn’t make us slaves who are afraid of him. Instead, we become his children and call him our Father.
God’s Spirit makes us sure that we are his children.
In fact, when God made the promise to Abraham, he meant only Abraham’s descendants by his son Isaac. God was talking only about Isaac when he promised
Someday it will be impossible to count the people of Israel, because there will be as many of them as there are grains of sand along the seashore. They are now called "Not My People," but in the future they will be called "Children of the Living God."
People of Israel, you are the Lord's children, so when you mourn for the dead, you must not cut yourselves or shave your forehead.Out of all the nations on this earth, the Lord your God chose you to be his own. You belong to the Lord, so don’t behave like those who worship other gods.
Viver como filhos
Vede que grande amor o Pai nos concedeu: que fôssemos chamados filhos de Deus! E é isso que somos.
Think how much the Father loves us. He loves us so much that he lets us be called his children, as we truly are. But since the people of this world did not know who Christ is, they don’t know who we are.
You can tell God’s children from the devil’s children, because those who belong to the devil refuse to do right or to love each other.
God blesses those people
who make peace.
They will be called
his children!
Then Jesus asked, "But who do you say I am?"
Simon Peter spoke up, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."
Jesus told him:
Simon, son of Jonah, you are blessed! You didn’t discover this on your own. It was shown to you by my Father in heaven.
Be patient when you are being corrected! This is how God treats his children. Don’t all parents correct their children? God corrects all his children, and if he doesn’t correct you, then you don’t really belong to him.
