Filhos de Deus
Ser filho de Deus é o maior privilégio da existência humana. Pela fé em Cristo, recebemos o direito de ser chamados filhos de Deus — herdeiros de Deus e co-herdeiros com Cristo.
O direito de ser filho
A todos que creram no nome de Jesus, deu-lhes o poder de serem feitos filhos de Deus — nascidos não do sangue, mas de Deus.
But to all those who accepted him and trusted in him, he gave the right to become God’s children. These are the children born not in the usual way, not as the result of human desire or a father’s decision, but born of God.
For God loved the world, and this is how: he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who trusts in him shouldn’t die, but have eternal life.
But these are written down here so that you may trust that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by trusting in him as he is you will have life.
For you are all God’s children through your trust in Christ Jesus. All of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ.
But at the appropriate time God sent his Son, born of a woman, born under the rule of law, so that he could rescue those who were kept under the rule of law, so that we could receive the inheritance of adopted children.
Since you are now no longer a slave, but a child, and if you are his child, then God has made you his heir.
A identidade dos filhos
O Espírito testifica com nosso espírito que somos filhos de Deus. E se filhos, também herdeiros — herdeiros de Deus.
All those who are led by the Spirit of God are God’s children. You were not given a spirit to enslave and terrify you once more. No, what you received was the spirit that makes you children in God’s family. Now we can shout out, "God is our Father!"
The Spirit himself agrees with us that we’re God’s children.
so it’s not Abraham’s actual children who are counted as God’s children, but only those children of God’s promise who are considered his true descendants.
Even so the number of the people of Israel will be like the sand on the seashore that cannot be measured or counted. Then right there at the place where they were told ‘you are not my people’ they will be called ‘the children of the living God.’
You are the children of the Lord your God. Don’t mutilate yourselves or shave your forehead like pagans do when they mourn the dead, because you are a holy people who belong to the Lord your God. The Lord chose you as his special people out of all the nations on earth.
Viver como filhos

Look at the amazing kind of love the Father has for us! This is why we can be called God’s children—for that’s who we are! The reason why the people of this world don’t recognize us as God’s children is because they don’t recognize him.
This is how God’s children and the devil’s children can be distinguished: all those who don’t do what’s right don’t belong to God, nor do those who don’t love their fellow Christians.
Blessed are those who work to bring peace, for they will be called children of God.
"But what about you?" he asked them. "Who do you say I am?"
"You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God," Simon Peter replied.
"You are truly blessed, Simon son of John," Jesus told him. "For this wasn’t revealed to you by human flesh and blood, but by my Father in heaven.
Be patient as you experience God’s discipline because he is treating you as his children. What child doesn’t experience a father’s discipline? If you are not disciplined (which everyone has experienced), then you are illegitimate and not true children.
