Filhos
Os filhos são herança do Senhor — bênção e responsabilidade sagrada. A Bíblia orienta sobre a criação dos filhos com amor, disciplina e instrução nos caminhos de Deus.
Herança do Senhor
Os filhos são herança do Senhor e o fruto do ventre é seu galardão. Bem-aventurado o homem que enche deles a sua aljava.
Thy wife shall be as a fruitful vine on the sides of thy house: thy children as young olive-plants round about thy table.
Behold, thus shall the man be blessed that fears the Lord. May the Lord bless thee out of Sion; and mayest thou see the prosperity of Jerusalem all the days of thy life.

to make known to the sons of men thy power, and the glorious majesty of thy kingdom.

Instruir e disciplinar
Instrui a criança no caminho em que deve andar, e quando envelhecer não se desviará dele. Disciplina é amor em ação.
Folly is attached to the heart of a child, but the rod and instruction are then far from him.
He that spares the rod hates his son: but he that loves, carefully chastens him.
Stripes and reproofs give wisdom: but an erring child disgraces his parents.
Refrain not from chastening a child; for if thou beat him with the rod, he shall not die.
Hear, ye children, the instruction of a father, and attend to know understanding.
A wise son makes his father glad: but a foolish son is a grief to his mother.
And these words, all that I command thee this day, shall be in thy heart and in thy soul. And thou shalt teach them to thy children, and thou shalt speak of them sitting in the house, and walking by the way, and lying down, and rising up.
O amor de Deus por crianças
Deixai vir a mim as crianças. Jesus acolheu, abençoou e honrou as crianças como modelo de fé e humildade.
He waters the mountains from his chambers: the earth shall be satisfied with the fruit of thy works.
Bênção e promessa
O Senhor te abençoe e te guarde. Os filhos dos justos serão abençoados e suas gerações caminharão na retidão.
The Lord bless thee and keep thee; the Lord make his face to shine upon thee, and have mercy upon thee; the Lord lift up his countenance upon thee, and give thee peace.
And may God give thee of the dew of heaven, and of the fatness of the earth, and abundance of corn and wine. And let nations serve thee, and princes bow down to thee, and be thou lord of thy brother, and the sons of thy father shall do thee reverence; accursed is he that curses thee, and blessed is he that blesses thee.
For I will give water to the thirsty that walk in a dry land: I will put my Spirit upon thy seed, and my blessings upon thy children: and they shall spring up as grass between brooks, and as willows on the banks of running water.
And I will cause all thy sons to be taught of God, and thy children to be in great peace.

Children’s children are the crown of old men; and their fathers are the glory of children. The faithful has the whole world full of wealth; but the faithless not even a farthing.
He that walks blameless in justice, shall leave his children blessed.
Criação e obediência
Pais, criai vossos filhos na disciplina e instrução do Senhor. Filhos, obedecei a vossos pais — isto é justo e agradável a Deus.
Honour thy father and thy mother, that it may be well with thee, and that thou mayest live long on the good land, which the Lord thy God gives to thee.
And every young child who this day knows not good or evil,—they shall enter therein, and to them I will give it, and they shall inherit it.
