Herança do Senhor
Os filhos são herança do Senhor e o fruto do ventre é seu galardão. Bem-aventurado o homem que enche deles a sua aljava.
Children certainly are a gift from the Lord, for a family is a blessing.

God blessed them and told them, "Reproduce, increase, and spread throughout the earth and control it; exercise authority over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that moves on the earth."

You will be blessed more than any other nation; none of you will be childless, and none of your livestock will fail to have young.
Instruir e disciplinar
Instrui a criança no caminho em que deve andar, e quando envelhecer não se desviará dele. Disciplina é amor em ação.
Teach children the right way to live, and when they grow up they’ll go on doing so.
Children are naturally foolish; physical correction helps them to see sense.
People who don’t discipline their children hate them. Those who love their children carefully discipline them.
Discipline and correction provide wisdom, but a son left undisciplined is an embarrassment to his mother.
Don’t keep from disciplining your children—a beating won’t kill them.

A wise son makes his father happy, but a stupid son only brings his mother grief.
The commands I’m giving you today must stay in your minds. You are to explain them carefully to your children and talk about them when you’re at home and when you’re traveling, when you lie down and when you get up.
O amor de Deus por crianças
Deixai vir a mim as crianças. Jesus acolheu, abençoou e honrou as crianças como modelo de fé e humildade.

So if even you who are evil know to give good things to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give good things to those who ask him.
Jesus grew steadily wiser and stronger, favored both by God and by the people.
Like a loving father, the Lord is kind and compassionate to those who follow him.
Look at the amazing kind of love the Father has for us! This is why we can be called God’s children—for that’s who we are! The reason why the people of this world don’t recognize us as God’s children is because they don’t recognize him.
Bênção e promessa
O Senhor te abençoe e te guarde. Os filhos dos justos serão abençoados e suas gerações caminharão na retidão.
‘May the Lord bless you and take care of you. May the Lord smile on you and be gracious to you. May the Lord watch over you and give you peace.’

Criação e obediência
Pais, criai vossos filhos na disciplina e instrução do Senhor. Filhos, obedecei a vossos pais — isto é justo e agradável a Deus.
Children, as believers in the Lord, do what your parents tell you, for this is the right thing to do. "Honor your father and mother." This is the first commandment that has a promise attached: "that things may go well for you and you may live a long life on the earth."
Fathers, don’t make your children mad, but look after them by disciplining them and instructing them about God.
You children, always do what your parents tell you because this is what pleases the Lord.
You fathers, don’t make your children mad, so they won’t feel like giving up.
Honor your father and mother, so that you may live a long time in the land that the Lord your God is giving you.
Be patient as you experience God’s discipline because he is treating you as his children. What child doesn’t experience a father’s discipline? If you are not disciplined (which everyone has experienced), then you are illegitimate and not true children.
For the Christian responsibility of a widow’s children or grandchildren is to do their duty for their own family, and repay their parents by helping them out. This is what pleases God.
A woman in labor suffers pain because her time has come, but once the baby is born, she forgets the agony because of the joy that a child has been brought into the world.
Your small children that you claimed would become prisoners, your children who at the time didn’t know good from evil, they will be the ones to enter the land that I will give them, and they will occupy it.
