Os filhos são herança do Senhor — bênção e responsabilidade sagrada. A Bíblia orienta sobre a criação dos filhos com amor, disciplina e instrução nos caminhos de Deus.
Herança do Senhor
Os filhos são herança do Senhor e o fruto do ventre é seu galardão. Bem-aventurado o homem que enche deles a sua aljava.
And the Lord blessed them, and said to them, spread abroad, and become many, and fill the earth, and be strong upon it; and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the heavens, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Blessed shall be the offspring of thy womb, and the produce of thy land, the increase of thy cattle, the oxen of thy herd, and the flocks of thy sheep.
Blessed shalt thou be above all peoples; there shall not be among thee a barren male or a barren female, neither among thy cattle.
Instruir e disciplinar
Instrui a criança no caminho em que deve andar, e quando envelhecer não se desviará dele. Disciplina é amor em ação.
And these words that command thee this day shall be upon thy heart. And thou shalt deliver them to thy children, and talk of them when thou art sitting in thy house, and when thou goest in the way, and in thy lying down, and thy rising up.
O amor de Deus por crianças
Deixai vir a mim as crianças. Jesus acolheu, abençoou e honrou as crianças como modelo de fé e humildade.
Bênção e promessa
O Senhor te abençoe e te guarde. Os filhos dos justos serão abençoados e suas gerações caminharão na retidão.
The Lord bless thee and keep thee. The Lord make His Shekinah to shine upon thee, and be merciful to thee. The Lord turn away His displeasure from thee, and bestow upon thee peace.
And the Lord shall give thee of the dew of heaven, and of the goodness of the earth, and abundance of corn and of wine. Let the peoples serve thee, and kingdoms be subservient to thee: be thou chief of thy brethren, and let the sons of thy mother worship thee: cursed shall they be who curse thee, and blessed shall they be who bless thee!
Criação e obediência
Pais, criai vossos filhos na disciplina e instrução do Senhor. Filhos, obedecei a vossos pais — isto é justo e agradável a Deus.
Honour thy father and thy mother, that thy days may be prolonged upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth to thee.
But your little ones, who you said would be for prey, your children, who today know not good and evil, they shall enter therein, to them will I give it, and they shall possess it;
