35 *Heaven and earth will pass away, but *my words will not pass away.

29 "Immediately after *the tribulation of those days *the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and *the stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

36 "But concerning that day and hour *no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, *nor the Son,**but the Father only.

32 "But concerning that day or that hour, *no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, *nor the Son, *but only the Father.

10 But *the day of the Lord will come like a thief, and then *the heavens will pass away with a roar, and *the heavenly bodies* will be burned up and dissolved, and the earth and the works that are done on it will be exposed.*

7 But by the same word *the heavens and earth that now exist are stored up for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and *destruction of the ungodly.

11 Since all these things are thus to be dissolved, *what sort of people ought you to be in lives of holiness and godliness, 12 *waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be set on fire and dissolved, and *the heavenly bodies will melt as they burn!

14 *The great day of the Lord is near,

near and hastening fast;

the sound of the day of the Lord is bitter;

*the mighty man cries aloud there.

15 *A day of wrath is that day,

a day of distress and anguish,

a day of *ruin and devastation,

*a day of darkness and gloom,

*a day of clouds and thick darkness,

16 *a day of trumpet blast and battle cry

*against the fortified cities

and against the lofty battlements.

17 *I will bring distress on mankind,

so that they shall walk *like the blind,

because they have sinned against the Lord;

*their blood shall be poured out like dust,

and their flesh *like dung.

18 *Neither their silver nor their gold

shall be able to deliver them

on the day of the wrath of the Lord.

*In the fire of his jealousy,

*all the earth shall be consumed;

*for a full and sudden end

he will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.

9 Behold, *the day of the Lord comes,

cruel, with wrath and fierce anger,

to make the land a desolation

and *to destroy its sinners from it.

12 When he opened the sixth seal, I looked, and behold, *there was a great earthquake, and *the sun became black as *sackcloth, the full moon became like blood, 13 and *the stars of the sky fell to the earth *as the fig tree sheds its winter fruit when shaken by a gale.

9 And *the great dragon was thrown down, *that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, *the deceiver of the whole world—*he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him.

25 "And *there will be signs in sun and moon *and stars, and on the earth *distress of nations in perplexity because of the roaring of the sea and the waves,26 people fainting with fear and with foreboding of what is coming on the world. For *the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

36 But *stay awake at all times, *praying that you may *have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and *to stand before the Son of Man."

He will *dwell with them, and they will be his people,* and God himself will be with them as their God.*4 *He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and *death shall be no more, *neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."

5 And *he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I *am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for *these words are trustworthy and true."
