Os céus e a terra passarão, mas as palavras de Jesus permanecerão para sempre. O mundo presente é temporário.
Heaven and earth will pass away, but my words will certainly not pass away.
"But immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light. The stars will fall from heaven, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.

O dia do Senhor
O dia do Senhor virá como ladrão. Os céus passarão com grande estrondo, e os elementos se dissolverão no fogo.

Furthermore, by his word the heavens and the earth that now exist have been reserved for fire, being kept until the day of judgment and the destruction of the ungodly.
Therefore, since all these things will be destroyed, what sort of people ought you to be? You ought to conduct yourselves in holiness and godliness, waiting for and hastening the coming of the day of God. On that day the heavens will be set on fire and destroyed, and the elements will melt in the intense heat.
Now concerning the times and seasons, brothers, you have no need for anything to be written to you. For you yourselves know very well that the day of the Lord will come like a thief in the night. When people are saying, "Peace and safety," destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains upon a woman with child, and they will certainly not escape. But you, brothers, are not in darkness so that this day should catch you like a thief. You are all sons of light and sons of the day; we are not of the night or of the darkness.

Destruição e renovação

Therefore stay alert at all times, praying that you may be considered worthy to escape everything that will take place, and to stand before the Son of Man."
Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. Then he who sits on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new."
