Sinais do fim dos tempos
A Bíblia descreve sinais que precederão a volta de Jesus. Guerras, falsos mestres, sinais cósmicos e a pregação do evangelho a todas as nações — tudo aponta para o fim dos tempos.
Sinais proféticos
Este evangelho do Reino será pregado em todo o mundo e então virá o fim. Os sinais dos últimos tempos já se manifestam.
and this good news of the kingdom will be proclaimed in all the world, for a testimony to all the nations, and then will the end arrive.
And immediately after the tribulation of those days, the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give her light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken; and then will appear the sign of the Son of Man in the sky; and then will all the tribes of the earth strike the breast, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of Heaven, with power and much glory; and He will send His messengers with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His chosen from the four winds, from the ends of the heavens to the ends thereof.
Watch therefore, because you have not known in what hour your Lord comes; and know this, that if the master of the house had known in what watch the thief comes, he had watched, and did not permit his house to be broken through; because of this also you, become ready, because in what hour you do not think, the Son of Man comes.
teaching them to observe all, whatever I commanded you, and behold, I am with you all the days—until the full end of the age."
And concerning that day and the hour no one has known—not even the messengers who are in Heaven, not even the Son—except the Father.
Os últimos dias
Nos últimos dias virão tempos difíceis, homens amantes de si mesmos. Mas derramarei o meu Espírito sobre toda a carne.
And know this, that in the last days there will come perilous times, for men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, slanderous, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unkind, without natural affection, implacable, false accusers, without control, barbaric, not lovers of those who are good, traitors, reckless, lofty, lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God, having a form of piety, but having denied its power; and be turning away from these,
And it will be in the last days, says God, || I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh, || And your sons and your daughters will prophesy, || And your young men will see visions, || And your old men will dream dreams; And also on My menservants, and on My maidservants, || In those days, I will pour out of My Spirit, || And they will prophesy; And I will give wonders in the sky above, || And signs on the earth beneath—Blood, and fire, and vapor of smoke, The sun will be turned to darkness, || And the moon to blood, || Before the coming of the Day of the LORD—the great and conspicuous; And it will be, everyone who, if he may have called on the Name of the LORD, will be saved.
And it has come to pass afterward, || I pour out My Spirit on all flesh, || And your sons and your daughters have prophesied, || Your old men dream dreams, || Your young men see visions. And also on the menservants and on the maidservants, || In those days I pour out My Spirit.
"And at that time Michael stands up, the great head, who is standing up for the sons of your people, and there has been a time of distress, such as has not been since there has been a nation until that time, and at that time your people escape, everyone who is found written in the scroll. And the multitude of those sleeping in the dust of the ground awake, some to continuous life, and some to reproaches—to continuous abhorrence. And those teaching shine as the brightness of the expanse, and those justifying the multitude as stars for all time and forever."
Esperança e prontidão
O dia do Senhor virá como ladrão. Mas nós não somos das trevas — estejamos sóbrios, vigiliando e esperando.
for we say this to you in the word of the LORD, that we who are living—who remain over to the coming of the LORD—may not precede those asleep, because the LORD Himself, with a shout, with the voice of a chief-messenger, and with the trumpet of God, will come down from Heaven, and the dead in Christ will rise first; then we who are living, who are remaining over, will be snatched up together with them in [the] clouds to meet the LORD in [the] air, and so we will always be with the LORD; so, then, comfort one another with these words.
so, then, we may not sleep as also the others, but watch and be sober, for those sleeping, sleep by night, and those making themselves drunk, are drunken by night, and we, being of the day—let us be sober, putting on a breastplate of faith and love, and a helmet—a hope of salvation, because God did not appoint us to anger, but to the acquiring of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
And take heed to yourselves lest your hearts may be weighed down with carousing, and drunkenness, and anxieties of life, and suddenly that day may come on you, for it will come as a snare on all those dwelling on the face of all the earth, watch, then, in every season, praying that you may be accounted worthy to escape all these things that are about to come to pass, and to stand before the Son of Man."
And do not let this one thing be concealed from you, beloved, that one day with the LORD [is] as one thousand years and one thousand years as one day; the LORD is not slow in regard to the promise, as some count slowness, but is long-suffering to us, not intending any to be lost, but all to come to conversion, and it will come—the Day of the LORD—as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a rushing noise, and the elements will be dissolved with burning heat, and [the] earth and the works in it will not be found. All these, then, being dissolved, what kind of persons ought you to be in holy behaviors and pious acts, waiting for and hurrying the coming of the Day of God, by which the heavens, being on fire, will be dissolved, and the elements will melt with burning heat? And we wait for new heavens and a new earth according to His promise, in which righteousness dwells;
Behold, I tell you a secret: we indeed will not all sleep, but we will all be changed; in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, in the last trumpet, for it will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed;
For behold, I am creating new heavens and a new earth, || And the former things are not remembered, || Nor do they ascend on the heart. But rejoice, and rejoice forever, that I [am] Creator, || For behold, I am creating Jerusalem [to be] a rejoicing, || And her people a joy. And I have rejoiced in Jerusalem, || And have rejoiced in My people, || And the voice of weeping is not heard in her anymore, and the voice of crying.
"For behold, the day has come, burning as a furnace, || When all the proud and all those doing wickedness have been stubble, || And the day that came has burned them," said YHWH of Hosts, || "That there is not left to them root or branch, But for you fearing My Name, || The Sun of Righteousness has risen with healing in His wings, || And you have gone forth, || And have bounded as calves of a stall.
And I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and the sea is no more; and I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband; and I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God [is] with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His peoples, and God Himself will be with them [as] their God, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor will there be anymore pain, because the first things passed away."
