14 This gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in the whole *world as a testimony to all the nations, and then the end will come.

29 "But immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light, and the stars will fall from the sky, and the powers of the heavens will be shaken.30 And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory.31 And He will send forth His angels with a great trumpet blast, and they will gather together His *elect from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.

42 "Therefore be on the alert, for you do not know which day your Lord is coming.43 But *be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming, he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into.44 For this reason you must be ready as well; for the Son of Man is coming at an hour when you do not think He will.

20 teaching them to *follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you *always, to the end of the age."

32 But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but the Father alone.

1 But realize this, that in the last days difficult times will come. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, boastful, arrogant, slanderers, disobedient to parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 unloving, irreconcilable, malicious gossips, without self-control, brutal, *haters of good, 4 treacherous, reckless, conceited, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 holding to a form of *godliness although they have denied its power; avoid such people as these.

17 ‘And it shall be in the last days,’ God says,

‘That I will pour out My Spirit on all*mankind;

And your sons and your daughters will prophesy,

And your young men will see visions,

And your old men will*have dreams;

18 And even on My male and female*servants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days,

And they will prophesy.

19 ‘And I will*display wonders in the sky above

And signs on the earth below,

Blood, fire, and*vapor of smoke.

20 ‘The sun will be turned into darkness

And the moon into blood,

Before the great and glorious day of the Lord comes.

21 ‘And it shall be that everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’

28 "*It will come about after this

That I will pour out My Spirit on all *mankind;

And your sons and your daughters will prophesy,

Your old men will have dreams,

Your young men will see visions.

29 "And even on the male and female servants

I will pour out My Spirit in those days.

1 "Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. 2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting *contempt. 3 And *those who have insight will shine like the glow of the *expanse of heaven, and those who *lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

15 For we say this to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive *and remain until the coming of the Lord will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a *shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive, who remain, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18 Therefore, *comfort one another with these words.

6 so then, let’s not sleep as *others do, but let’s be alert and *sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we are of the day, let’s be *sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

34 "But be on your guard, so that your hearts will not be weighed down with dissipation and drunkenness and the worries of life, and that *this day will not come on you suddenly, like a trap;35 for it will come upon all those who live on the face of all the earth.36 But stay alert at all times, praying that you will have strength to escape all these things that are going to take place, and to stand before the Son of Man."

8 But do not let this one fact escape your notice, beloved, that with the Lord one day is like a thousand years, and a thousand years like one day. 9 The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not willing for any to perish, but for all to come to repentance.

10 But the day of the Lord will come like a thief, in which the heavens will pass away with a roar and the elements will be destroyed with intense heat, and the earth and *its works will be *discovered.

11 Since all these things are to be destroyed in this way, what sort of people ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness, 12 looking for and hastening the coming of the day of God, because of which the heavens will be destroyed by burning, and the elements will melt with intense heat! 13 But according to His promise we are looking for new heavens and a new earth, in which righteousness dwells.

51 Behold, I am telling you a *mystery; we will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, 52 in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet; for the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised *imperishable, and we will be changed.

17 "For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth;

And the former things will not be remembered or come to *mind.

18 "But be glad and rejoice forever in what I create;

For behold, I create Jerusalem for rejoicing

And her people for gladness.

19 "I will also rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people;

And there will no longer be heard in her

The voice of weeping and the sound of crying.

1 "*For behold, the day is coming, burning like a furnace; and all the arrogant and every evildoer will be chaff; and the day that is coming will set them ablaze," says the Lord of armies, "so that it will leave them neither root nor branches. 2 But for you who *fear My name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its wings; and you will go forth and frolic like calves from the stall.

1 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth; for the first heaven and the first earth passed away, and there is no longer any sea. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne, saying, "Behold, the tabernacle of God is among the people, and He will dwell among them, and they shall be His *people, and God Himself will be among them*, 4 and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."
