For the poor shall never cease out of the land; therefore I command thee, saying: 'Thou shalt surely open thy hand unto thy poor and needy brother, in thy land.'(Deuteronomy 15:11)
There is that scattereth, and yet increaseth; and there is that withholdeth more than is meet, but it tendeth only to want. The beneficent soul shall be made rich, and he that satisfieth abundantly shall be satisfied also himself.(Proverbs 11:24,25)
Withhold not good from him to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thy hand to do it.(Proverbs 3:27)
Whoso stoppeth his ears at the cry of the poor, he also shall cry himself, but shall not be answered.(Proverbs 21:13)
Honour the LORD with thy substance, and with the first-fruits of all thine increase; So shall thy barns be filled with plenty, and thy vats shall overflow with new wine.(Proverbs 3:9,10)
Bring ye the whole tithe into the store-house, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall be more than sufficiency.(Malachi 3:10)
Well is it with the man that dealeth graciously and lendeth, that ordereth his affairs rightfully.(Psalms 112:5)
He giveth power to the faint; and to him that hath no might He increaseth strength.(Isaiah 40:29)
