Gentileza
A gentileza é fruto do Espírito e marca do cristão maduro.
Always be gentle with others. The Lord will soon be here.
A kind answer
soothes angry feelings,
but harsh words
stir them up.
Kind words are like honey—
they cheer you up
and make you feel strong.
When you are with unbelievers, always make good use of the time. Be pleasant and hold their interest when you speak the message. Choose your words carefully and be ready to give answers to anyone who asks questions.
God loves you and has chosen you as his own special people. So be gentle, kind, humble, meek, and patient.
Gentileza como fruto
O fruto do Espírito inclui bondade e amabilidade. Amem uns aos outros com afeição fraternal e tratem bem a todos.
God’s Spirit makes us loving, happy, peaceful, patient, kind, good, faithful, gentle, and self-controlled. There is no law against behaving in any of these ways.
We should help people whenever we can, especially if they are followers of the Lord.
Keep being concerned about each other as the Lord’s followers should.
Be sure to welcome strangers into your home. By doing this, some people have welcomed angels as guests, without even knowing it.
We must stop judging others. We must also make up our minds not to upset anyone’s faith.
Don’t hold grudges. On the other hand, it’s wrong not to correct someone who needs correcting. Don’t be angry or try to take revenge. I am the Lord, and I command you to love others as much as you love yourself.
So once again, I, the Lord All-Powerful, tell you, "See that justice is done and be kind and merciful to one another! Don’t mistreat widows or orphans or foreigners or anyone who is poor, and stop making plans to hurt each other."
I tell you for certain that anyone who welcomes my messengers also welcomes me, and anyone who welcomes me welcomes the one who sent me.
