1 A gentle answer quiets anger, but a harsh one stirs it up.

24 Kind words are like honey—sweet to the taste and good for your health.

5 *Be wise in the way you act toward those who are not believers, making good use of every opportunity you have. 6 *Your speech should always be pleasant and interesting, and you should know how to give the right answer to everyone.

12 *You are the people of God; he loved you and chose you for his own. So then, you must clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.

22 But the Spirit produces love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23 humility, and self-control. There is no law against such things as these.

10 So then, as often as we have the chance, we should do good to everyone, and especially to those who belong to our family in the faith.

1 Keep on loving one another as Christians. 2 *Remember to welcome strangers in your homes. There were some who did that and welcomed angels without knowing it.

13 So then, let us stop judging one another. Instead, you should decide never to do anything that would make others stumble or fall into sin.

17 *"Do not bear a grudge against others, but settle your differences with them, so that you will not commit a sin because of them.*18 *Do not take revenge on others or continue to hate them, but love your neighbors as you love yourself. I am the Lord.
