Homem
So also it is written: "The first man, Adam, became a living being"; the last Adam became a life-giving spirit. However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and then the spiritual. The first man was of the earth, of soil; the second man was the Lord from heaven. As was the earth-man, just so are the earth-people; and as was the heaven-man, just so are the heaven-people. And just as we have borne the image of the earth-man, we should also bear the image of the heaven-man.
Fragilidade humana
O homem nascido de mulher é de poucos dias e cheio de inquietação. Deus conhece nossa fragilidade e cuida de nós.
Renovação e chamado
Despojados do velho homem e revestidos do novo, somos chamados a buscar a justiça, a piedade e o amor.
that you put away, concerning your former way of life, the old man (that keeps on being corrupted by the deceitful desires), and that you be renewed in the spirit of your mind, and put on the new man, created in the likeness of God, in true righteousness and holiness.
having abolished the enmity through His ‘flesh’, so as to mold the two [Jew and Gentile] into one new man in Himself (thus making peace),
(When I was a small child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I reasoned like a child; but when I became a man, I put away the things of the child.)
A confiança errada
Maldito o homem que confia no homem. O homem de duplo ânimo é instável em todos os seus caminhos.
