A honestidade é virtude cristã fundamental. Deus é Deus de verdade e nos chama a viver com integridade, transparência e retidão em todos os nossos relacionamentos e negócios.

O Senhor abomina a balança falsa, mas o peso justo é seu prazer. A integridade dos justos os guia pelos caminhos retos.

Then you will be able to recognize what is right and just and fair, in fact all that is good in the way you should live.
Doing what’s right and fair pleases the Lord more than sacrifices.
Focus on what’s ahead of you; look at what’s in front of you.
But we have given up secret, shameful acts. We don’t behave in deceitful ways and we don’t distort the word of God. We demonstrate who we are by revealing the truth before God so everybody can decide in their own minds.
We’re concerned to do things the right way, not only in the eyes of the Lord, but also in the eyes of everyone.
Praticar a honestidade
Falai a verdade, pagai o que deveis, não negueis ao próximo o bem. A honestidade prática é testemunho do evangelho.
Don’t lie to each other, since you’ve discarded your old self and what you used to do,
Pay whatever you owe: taxes to the tax authorities, fees to the fee-collectors; give respect to those who should be respected, honor those who should be honored.
That’s why you have to pay taxes, for the authorities are God’s servants taking care of such things.
Don’t pay back anyone evil for evil. Make sure you show everybody that what you’re doing is good,
Don’t hold back good from those who deserve it when it’s something you have the power to do.
Better to have just a little and be honest than to have a lot and be dishonest.
Wealth gained through evil does you no good; but living right saves you from death.
Confissão e transparência
Confessai as vossas ofensas uns aos outros. Quem confessa e deixa o pecado encontra misericórdia e restauração.
People who hide their sins won’t succeed, but those who confess and renounce their sins will be shown kindness.
Admit the wrongs you’ve done to each other, and pray for one another so that you’ll be healed. Earnest prayer from those who live right is very effective.
Above all, my friends, don’t swear. Not by heaven, not by earth, and not by any other kind of oath. Just let your yes be yes, and your no be no, so you won’t fall under condemnation.
However, wisdom that comes from above is first of all pure, and it also brings peace. It is kind and open to reason. It is full of mercy and produces good things. It is genuine and not hypocritical.
If we claim to share this friendship with him and yet go on living in darkness, we’re lying, and not living in the truth.
Dear friends, let’s not just say we love with words, but show our love in what we do and how we demonstrate the truth.
