Honestidade
A honestidade é virtude cristã fundamental. Deus é Deus de verdade e nos chama a viver com integridade, transparência e retidão em todos os nossos relacionamentos e negócios.
Integridade diante de Deus
O Senhor abomina a balança falsa, mas o peso justo é seu prazer. A integridade dos justos os guia pelos caminhos retos.
Balances of deceit [are] an abomination to YHWH, || And a perfect weight [is] His delight. The integrity of the upright leads them, || And the perverseness of the treacherous destroys them.

Then you understand righteousness, || And judgment, and uprightness—every good path.
To do righteousness and judgment, || Is chosen of YHWH rather than sacrifice.
Your eyes look straightforward, || And your eyelids look straight before you.
but renounced for ourselves the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness, nor deceitfully using the word of God, but by the manifestation of the truth recommending ourselves to every conscience of men, before God;
providing right things, not only before the LORD, but also before men;
Praticar a honestidade
Falai a verdade, pagai o que deveis, não negueis ao próximo o bem. A honestidade prática é testemunho do evangelho.
Do not lie to one another, having put off the old man with his practices,
render, therefore, to all [their] dues; to whom tribute, the tribute; to whom custom, the custom; to whom fear, the fear; to whom honor, the honor.
for because of this you also pay tribute; for they are servants of God, on this very thing attending continually;
giving back to no one evil for evil; providing right things before all men.
Do not withhold good from its owners, || When your hand [is] toward God to do [it].
Better [is] a little with righteousness, || Than abundance of increase without justice.
Treasures of wickedness do not profit, || And righteousness delivers from death.
Confissão e transparência
Confessai as vossas ofensas uns aos outros. Quem confessa e deixa o pecado encontra misericórdia e restauração.
Whoever is covering his transgressions does not prosper, || And he who is confessing and forsaking has mercy.
Be confessing to one another the trespasses, and be praying for one another, that you may be healed; very strong is a working supplication of a righteous man;
And before all things, my brothers, do not swear, neither by Heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath, but let your "Yes" be yes, and the "No," no, that you may not fall under judgment.
but the wisdom from above, first, indeed, is pure, then peaceable, gentle, well-convinced, full of kindness and good fruits, uncontentious, and unhypocritical—
if we may say, "We have fellowship with Him," and may walk in the darkness—we lie, and do not [speak] the truth;
My little children, may we not love in word nor in tongue, but in work and in truth!
Coração puro
Bem-aventurados os puros de coração, porque verão a Deus. A honestidade começa no interior e se manifesta nas ações.
Blessed the clean in heart—because they will see God.
Be silent for YHWH, and stay yourself for Him, || Do not fret because of him || Who is making his way prosperous, || Because of a man doing wicked schemes.
The man—good, gracious, and lending, || He sustains his matters in judgment.
be diligent to present yourself approved to God—a workman not ashamed, straightly cutting the word of truth;
And no one having lighted a lamp covers it with a vessel, or puts [it] under a bed; but he puts [it] on a lampstand, that those coming in may see the light,
The snare of the wicked [is] in transgression of the lips, || And the righteous goes out from distress. Whoever utters faithfulness declares righteousness, || And a false witness—deceit.
A contrary man sends forth contention, || A tale-bearer is separating a familiar friend.
