Honestidade
A honestidade é virtude cristã fundamental.
A false balance is an abomination to the LORD; but a perfect weight is His delight. The integrity of the upright shall guide them; but the perverseness of the faithless shall destroy them.
The integrity of the upright shall guide them; but the perverseness of the faithless shall destroy them.
Then shalt thou understand righteousness and justice, and equity, yea, every good path.
To do righteousness and justice is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.
Let thine eyes look right on, and let thine eyelids look straight before thee.
Praticar a honestidade
Falai a verdade, pagai o que deveis, não negueis ao próximo o bem. A honestidade prática é testemunho do evangelho.
Withhold not good from him to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thy hand to do it.
Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues with injustice.
Treasures of wickedness profit nothing; but righteousness delivereth from death.
Confissão e transparência
Confessai as vossas ofensas uns aos outros. Quem confessa e deixa o pecado encontra misericórdia e restauração.
He that covereth his transgressions shall not prosper; but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall obtain mercy.
Coração puro
Bem-aventurados os puros de coração, porque verão a Deus. A honestidade começa no interior e se manifesta nas ações.
Resign thyself unto the LORD, and wait patiently for Him; fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass.
Well is it with the man that dealeth graciously and lendeth, that ordereth his affairs rightfully.
In the transgression of the lips is a snare to the evil man; but the righteous cometh out of trouble. He that breatheth forth truth uttereth righteousness; but a false witness deceit.
A froward man soweth strife; and a whisperer separateth familiar friends.
