Honestidade

Por Bíblia Online –

A honestidade é virtude cristã fundamental.

1 A false balance is abomination to the LORD: but a just weight is his delight. A false…: Heb. Balances of deceitjust…: Heb. perfect stone3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

3 The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them.

9 Then shalt thou understand righteousness, and judgment, and equity; and, every good path.

3 To do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD than sacrifice.

25 Let thy eyes look right on, and let thy eyelids look straight before thee.

2 But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God. dishonesty: Gr. shame

21 Providing for honest things, not only in the sight of the Lord, but also in the sight of men.

Praticar a honestidade

Falai a verdade, pagai o que deveis, não negueis ao próximo o bem. A honestidade prática é testemunho do evangelho.

9 Lie not one to another, seeing ye have put off the old man with his deeds;

7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.

6 For for this cause ye pay tribute also: for they are God’s ministers, attending continually upon this very thing.

17 Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men.

27 Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thy hand to do it. them…: Heb. the owners thereof

8 Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.

2 Treasures of wickedness profit nothing: but righteousness delivereth from death.

Confissão e transparência

Confessai as vossas ofensas uns aos outros. Quem confessa e deixa o pecado encontra misericórdia e restauração.

13 He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but he who confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.

16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of the righteous man availeth much.

12 But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.

17 But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. partiality: or, wrangling

6 If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:

18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.

Coração puro

Bem-aventurados os puros de coração, porque verão a Deus. A honestidade começa no interior e se manifesta nas ações.

8 Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.

7 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Rest in: Heb. Be silent to

5 A good man showeth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. discretion: Heb. judgment

15 Study to show thyself approved to God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

16 No man, when he hath lighted a lamp, covereth it with a vessel, or putteth it under a bed; but setteth it on a lampstand, that they who enter in may see the light.

13 The wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble. The wicked…: Heb. The snare of the wicked is in the transgression of lips17 He that speaketh truth showeth forth righteousness: but a false witness deceit.
