Honrar pai e mãe é mandamento de Deus com promessa de vida longa e feliz. A Bíblia ensina que respeitar, obedecer e cuidar dos pais é dever sagrado dos filhos.
O mandamento com promessa
Honra a teu pai e a tua mãe para que vá bem contigo e vivas muito tempo sobre a terra. É o primeiro mandamento com promessa.
"Honor your father and mother"—which is the first commandment with a promise— "that it may go well with you and you may live long on the earth."
About children
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. Quem não cuida dos seus, principalmente de sua família, negou a fé. Honrar os pais inclui respeitar os idosos.
