Ser imitador de Cristo é o chamado supremo do cristão. Paulo exortou: 'Sede meus imitadores, como eu sou de Cristo.' Fomos criados à imagem de Deus para refletir seu caráter.
Imitar a Cristo
Sede imitadores de Deus como filhos amados. Cristo se esvaziou e se humilhou — esse é o padrão que devemos seguir.
1 Be ye therefore imitators of God, as dear children
5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus,6 who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God,7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, made in the likeness of men,8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even the death of the stake.
1 Be ye imitators of me, even as I also [am] of Christ.
6 And ye were made imitators of us and of the Lord, having received the word with much tribulation, with joy of the Holy Spirit:
Criados à imagem de Deus
Deus nos criou à sua imagem e semelhança. Adorar em espírito e verdade é viver refletindo o caráter do Criador.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the beasts and over all the earth and over every serpent that moves upon the earth.
24 God is a Spirit and those that worship him must worship [him] in spirit and in truth.
