Ser imitador de Cristo é o chamado supremo do cristão. Paulo exortou: 'Sede meus imitadores, como eu sou de Cristo.' Fomos criados à imagem de Deus para refletir seu caráter.
Imitar a Cristo
Sede imitadores de Deus como filhos amados. Cristo se esvaziou e se humilhou — esse é o padrão que devemos seguir.
1 Therefore be imitators of God, as beloved children.
5 Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,6 who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.8 And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death, even death on a cross.
1 Be imitators of me, as I am of Christ.
6 And you became imitators of us and of the Lord, for you received the word in much affliction, with joy inspired by the Holy Spirit;
Criados à imagem de Deus
Deus nos criou à sua imagem e semelhança. Adorar em espírito e verdade é viver refletindo o caráter do Criador.
26 Then God said, "Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps upon the earth."
24 God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth."
