Ser imitador de Cristo é o chamado supremo do cristão. Paulo exortou: 'Sede meus imitadores, como eu sou de Cristo.' Fomos criados à imagem de Deus para refletir seu caráter.
Imitar a Cristo
Sede imitadores de Deus como filhos amados. Cristo se esvaziou e se humilhou — esse é o padrão que devemos seguir.
Therefore be ye followers of God, as most dearworthy sons;
And feel ye this thing in you, which was also in Christ Jesus;
which when he was in the form of God, deemed not raven, that himself were even to God [or himself to be even to God],
but he lowed [or meeked] himself, taking the form of a servant, and was made into the likeness of men,
and in habit was found as a man. He meeked himself, and was made obedient to the death, yea, to the death of the cross.
Be ye my followers, as I am of Christ.
and ye be made followers of us, and of the Lord, receiving the word in much tribulation, with joy of the Holy Ghost;
Criados à imagem de Deus
Deus nos criou à sua imagem e semelhança. Adorar em espírito e verdade é viver refletindo o caráter do Criador.
and said, Make we man to our image and likeness, and be he sovereign to the fishes of the sea, and to the volatiles of heaven, and to [the] unreasonable beasts of [the] earth, and to each creature, and to each creeping beast or each reptile, which is moved in [the] earth.
God is a Spirit, and it behooveth them that worship him, to worship in spirit and truth.
