Intimidade com Deus

Por Bíblia Online –

A intimidade com Deus é o maior privilégio do cristão.

8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse {your} hands, sinners, and purify {your} hearts, ye double-minded.

1 Ho, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters; and he that hath no money, come ye, buy, and eat: yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price!2 Wherefore do ye spend money for {that which is} not bread? and your labour for that which satisfieth not? Hearken diligently unto me, and eat ye {that which is} good, and let your soul delight itself in fatness.3 Incline your ear, and come unto me; hear, and your soul shall live; and I will make an everlasting covenant with you, the sure mercies of David.4 Behold, I have given him {for} a witness to the peoples, a prince and commander to the peoples.5 Behold, thou shalt call a nation thou knowest not, and a nation {that} knew not thee shall run unto thee, because of Jehovah thy God, and the Holy One of Israel; for he hath glorified thee.6 Seek ye Jehovah while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near.

24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; while they are yet speaking, I will hear.

3 Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and I will shew thee great and hidden things, which thou knowest not.

11 For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith Jehovah, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you in your latter end a hope.

Sede de Deus

Como a corça deseja as correntes de água, assim a minha alma suspira por ti, ó Deus. A intimidade nasce do desejo profundo.

1 [To the chief Musician. An instruction; of the sons of Korah.] As the hart panteth after the water-brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.2 My soul thirsteth for God, for the living *God: when shall I come and appear before God?

1 [A Psalm of David; when he was in the wilderness of Judah.] O God, thou art my *God; early will I seek thee. My soul thirsteth for thee, my flesh languisheth for thee, in a dry and weary land without water:2 To see thy power and thy glory, as I have beheld thee in the sanctuary;3 For thy loving-kindness is better than life: my lips shall praise thee.4 So will I bless thee while I live; I will lift up my hands in thy name.5 My soul is satisfied as with marrow and fatness, and my mouth shall praise {thee} with joyful lips.6 When I remember thee upon my bed, I meditate on thee in the night-watches:7 For thou hast been my help, and in the shadow of thy wings will I sing for joy.8 My soul followeth hard after thee: thy right hand upholdeth me.9 But those that seek my soul, to destroy {it}, shall go into the lower parts of the earth;10 They shall be given over to the power of the sword; they shall be the portion of foxes.11 But the king shall rejoice in God; every one that sweareth by him shall glory: for the mouth of them that speak lies shall be stopped.

Unidade com o Pai

Jesus orou pela unidade dos seus com o Pai. A intimidade com Deus inclui confissão, perdão e alegria na comunhão.

22 And the glory which thou hast given me I have given them, that they may be one, as we are one;23 I in them and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one {and} that the world may know that thou hast sent me, and {that} thou hast loved them as thou hast loved me.

17 Jehovah thy God is in thy midst, a mighty one that will save: he will rejoice over thee with joy; he will rest in his love; he will exult over thee with singing.

9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us {our} sins, and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
