A intimidade com Deus é o maior privilégio do cristão. Ele nos convida a nos aproximar, a conhecê-lo profundamente e a desfrutar de comunhão diária com o Criador do universo.
Aproximar-se de Deus
Chegai-vos a Deus e Ele se chegará a vós. Deus deseja intimidade, não religiosidade. Ele busca os que o buscam de todo coração.
draw near to God, and He will draw near to you; cleanse hands, you sinners! And purify hearts, you split-souled!
"Behold, every thirsty one, Come to the waters, And he who has no money, Come, buy and eat, Indeed, come, buy wine and milk Without money and without price. Why do you weigh money for that which is not bread? And your labor for that which is not for satiety? Listen diligently to Me, and eat good, And your soul delights itself in fatness. Incline your ear, and come to Me, Hear, and your soul lives, And I make a perpetual covenant for you, The kind blessings of David that are steadfast. Behold, I have given him [as] a witness to peoples, A leader and commander to peoples. Behold, a nation you do not know, you call, And a nation who does not know you runs to you, For the sake of your God YHWH, And for the Holy One of Israel, Because He has beautified you." Seek YHWH while He may be found, Call Him while He is near,
And it has come to pass, They do not yet call, and I answer, They are yet speaking, and I hear.
Call to Me, and I answer you, indeed, I declare to you great and inaccessible things—you have not known them.
For I have known the thoughts that I am thinking toward you—a declaration of YHWH; thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give posterity and hope to you.
Sede de Deus
Como a corça deseja as correntes de água, assim a minha alma suspira por ti, ó Deus. A intimidade nasce do desejo profundo.
TO THE OVERSEER. AN INSTRUCTION OF THE SONS OF KORAH. As a deer pants for streams of water, So my soul pants toward You, O God. My soul thirsted for God, for the living God, When do I enter and see the face of God?
A PSALM OF DAVID, IN HIS BEING IN THE WILDERNESS OF JUDAH. O God, You [are] my God, earnestly I seek You, My soul has thirsted for You, My flesh has longed for You, In a dry and weary land, without waters. So I have seen You in the sanctuary, To behold Your strength and Your glory. Because better [is] Your kindness than life, My lips praise You. So I bless You in my life, I lift up my hands in Your Name. As [with] milk and fatness is my soul satisfied, And [with] singing lips my mouth praises. If I have remembered You on my bed, I meditate on You in the watches. For You have been a help to me, And I sing in the shadow of Your wings. My soul has cleaved after You, Your right hand has taken hold on me. And they who seek my soul for desolation, Go into the lower parts of the earth. They cause him to run on the edge of the sword, They are a portion for foxes. And the king rejoices in God, Everyone swearing by Him boasts, But the mouth of those speaking lies is stopped!
Unidade com o Pai
Jesus orou pela unidade dos seus com o Pai. A intimidade com Deus inclui confissão, perdão e alegria na comunhão.
And I have given to them the glory that You have given to Me, that they may be one as We are one— I in them, and You in Me, that they may be perfected into one, and that the world may know that You sent Me, and loved them as You loved Me.
Your God YHWH [is] in your midst, A mighty one [to] save, He rejoices over you with joy, He works in His love, He delights over you with singing."
if we may confess our sins, He is steadfast and righteous that He may forgive us the sins, and may cleanse us from every unrighteousness;
