Jesus Cristo
The Prologue to John’s Gospel
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
The Prologue to John’s Gospel
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. This one was in the beginning with God. All things came into being through him, and apart from him not one thing came into being that has come into being.
And the Word became flesh and took up residence among us, and we saw his glory, glory as of the one and only from the Father, full of grace and truth.
because in him all the fullness of deity dwells bodily,
because in him all the fullness of deity dwells bodily, and you are filled in him, who is the head over every ruler and authority,
Christ’s Humiliation and Exaltation
Think this in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,
who, existing in the form of God,
did not consider being equal with God something to be grasped,
but emptied himself
by taking the form of a slave,
by becoming in the likeness of people.
And being found in appearance like a man,
Christ’s Humiliation and Exaltation
Think this in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus,
Jesus, o Filho de Deus
Tu és o Cristo, o Filho do Deus vivo!
He said to them, "But who do you say that I am?" And Simon Peter answered and said, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God!" And Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed are you, Simon son of Jonah, because flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father who is in heaven.
"Behold, the virgin will become pregnant and will give birth to a son,
and they will call his name Emmanuel,"
which is translated, "God with us."
Now the centurion and those with him who were guarding Jesus, when they saw the earthquake and the things that took place, were extremely frightened, saying, "Truly this man was God’s Son!"
But he was silent and did not reply anything. Again the high priest asked him and said to him, "Are you the Christ, the Son of the Blessed One?" And Jesus said, "I am, and you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of the Power and coming with the clouds of heaven."
But he said to them, "Do not be alarmed. You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene who was crucified. He has been raised, he is not here! See the place where they laid him!
The Baptism of Jesus
Now it happened that when all the people were baptized, Jesus also was baptized, and while he was praying, heaven was opened, and the Holy Spirit descended on him in bodily form like a dove, and a voice came from heaven, "You are my beloved Son; with you I am well pleased."
Eu Sou
Jesus said to them, "Truly, truly I say to you, before Abraham was, I am!"
But Moses said to God, "Look, if I go to the Israelites and I say to them, ‘The God of your ancestors has sent me to you,’ and they say to me, ‘What is his name?’ then what shall I say to them?" And God said to Moses, "I am that I am." And he said, "So you must say to the Israelites, ‘I am sent me to you.’ "
The Father and I are one."
But he answered them, "My Father is working until now, and I am working." So on account of this the Jews were seeking even more to kill him, because he not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God his own Father, thus making himself equal with God.
So on account of this the Jews were seeking even more to kill him, because he not only was breaking the Sabbath, but also was calling God his own Father, thus making himself equal with God.
For just as the Father raises the dead and makes them alive, thus also the Son makes alive whomever he wishes. For the Father does not judge anyone, but he has given all judgment to the Son, in order that all people will honor the Son, just as they honor the Father. The one who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.
"Truly, truly I say to you, that an hour is coming—and now is here—when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and the ones who hear will live.
O Salvador e Senhor
Jesus é o caminho, a verdade e a vida.
Jesus said to him, "I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
Jesus said to him, "Am I with you so long a time and you have not known me, Philip? The one who has seen me has seen the Father! How can you say, ‘Show us the Father?’ Do you not believe that I am in the Father and the Father is in me? The words that I say to you I do not speak from myself, but the Father residing in me does his works.
Jesus said to her, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me, even if he dies, will live,
Jesus said to her, "Did I not say to you that if you believed, you would see the glory of God?"
And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among people by which we must be saved."
And as they were traveling down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "Look! Water! What prevents me from being baptized?"And he ordered the chariot to stop, and they both went down into the water—Philip and the eunuch—and he baptized him.
who is the radiance of his glory and the representation of his essence, sustaining all things by the word of power. When he had made purification for sins through him, he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high, having become by so much better than the angels, by as much as he has inherited a more excellent name than theirs.
Jesus Our Great High Priest
Therefore, because we have a great high priest who has gone through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast to our confession. For we do not have a high priest who is not able to sympathize with our weaknesses, but who has been tempted in all things in the same way, without sin.
fixing our eyes on Jesus, the originator and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, disregarding the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Therefore he was obligated to be made like his brothers in all respects, in order that he could become a merciful and faithful high priest in the things relating to God, in order to make atonement for the sins of the people.
However, he was the one who lifted up our sicknesses,
and he carried our pain,
yet we ourselves assumed him stricken,
struck down by God and afflicted.
But he was pierced because of our transgressions,
crushed because of our iniquities;
the chastisement for our peace was upon him,
and by his wounds we were healed.
For a child has been born for us;
a son has been given to us.
And the dominion will be on his shoulder,
and his name is called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God,
Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Confessar a Cristo
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God resides in him and he in God.
Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God resides in him and he in God.
By this the love of God is revealed in us: that God sent his one and only Son into the world in order that we may live through him. In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
By this the love of God is revealed in us: that God sent his one and only Son into the world in order that we may live through him.
The one who practices sin is of the devil, because the devil has been sinning from the beginning. For this reason the Son of God was revealed: in order to destroy the works of the devil.
Now who is the one who conquers the world except the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God?
And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. The one who has the Son has the life; the one who does not have the Son of God does not have the life.
that if you confess with your mouth "Jesus is Lord" and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.
and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me, and that life I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
And my God will fulfill your every need according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus.
And the peace of Christ must rule in your hearts, to which also you were called in one body, and be thankful.
For we are his creation, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, so that we may walk in them.
and live in love, just as also Christ loved us, and gave himself for us an offering and sacrifice to God for a fragrant smell.
For just as in one body we have many members, but all the members do not have the same function, in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ, and individually members of one another,
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ!
but set Christ apart as Lord in your hearts, always ready to make a defense to anyone who asks you for an accounting concerning the hope that is in you.
For there is one God and one mediator between God and human beings, the man Christ Jesus,
O Rei eterno
The Warrior on the White Horse
And I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse, and the one seated on it was called "Faithful" and "True," and with justice he judges and makes war. Now his eyes were a flame of fire, and on his head were many royal headbands having a name written that no one except he himself knows. And he was dressed in an outer garment dipped in blood, and his name is called the Word of God. And the armies that are in heaven, dressed in clean, white fine linen, were following him on white horses. And out of his mouth came a sharp sword, so that with it he could strike the nations. And he will shepherd them with an iron rod, and he stomps the winepress of the wine of the furious wrath of God, the All-Powerful. And he has a name written on his outer garment and on his thigh: "King of kings and Lord of lords."
The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all.
Then he said to Thomas, "Place your finger here and see my hands, and place your hand and put it into my side. And do not be unbelieving, but believing!" Thomas answered and said to him, "My Lord and my God!"
Why This Book Was Written
Now Jesus also performed many other signs in the presence of the disciples which are not recorded in this book, but these things are recorded in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.
This is my commandment: that you love one another just as I have loved you.
Truly, truly I say to you, the one who receives anyone I send receives me, and the one who receives me receives the one who sent me."
And I give them eternal life, and they will never perish forever, and no one will seize them out of my hand. My Father, who has given them to me, is greater than all, and no one can seize them from the Father’s hand. The Father and I are one."
God’s Love for the World
For in this way God loved the world, so that he gave his one and only Son, in order that everyone who believes in him will not perish, but will have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world in order that he should judge the world, but in order that the world should be saved through him. The one who believes in him is not judged, but the one who does not believe has already been judged, because he has not believed in the name of the one and only Son of God.
And whoever does not take up his cross and follow me is not worthy of me.
For where two or three are gathered in my name, I am there in the midst of them."
Jesus looked at them and said, "With human beings it is impossible, but not with God. For all things are possible with God."
But he said, "What is impossible with men is possible with God."
The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit.
