The Great White Throne Judgment
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled. And no place was found for them. And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and the books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged by the things having been written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to their works. Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. And if anyone was not found having been written in the Book of Life, he was cast into the lake of fire.
Jesus Testifies to the Churches
"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to each one according to his work.
Jesus Testifies to the Churches
"And behold, I am coming quickly, and My reward is with Me, to render to each one according to his work. I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."
Preparação para o juízo
Deus estabeleceu um dia para julgar o mundo com justiça. Arrependei-vos, porque o juízo se aproxima e cada palavra será pesada.
because He has appointed a day in which He is going to judge the world in righteousness by the Man whom He has appointed, having given proof to all, by raising Him from the dead."
But I say to you, that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the Day of Judgment. For by your words you shall be justified, and by your words you shall be condemned."
The Judgment of the Nations
"And when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then will He sit upon His glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on His left.
Then the King will say to those on His right hand, ‘Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.’
"Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brothers, you did it to Me.’
"Then He will also say to those on the left, ‘Depart from Me, you cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me.’
"Then they also will answer, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger or naked or sick or in prison, and we did not minister to You?’ Then He will answer them, saying, ‘Assuredly I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of the least of these, neither did you do it to Me.’ And these shall go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."
Segurança em Cristo
Quem crê no Filho tem a vida eterna e não entra em juízo. O amor de Deus é nosso refúgio diante do juízo vindouro.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life.
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world so that He might condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
"He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe has been condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness more than the light, because their works were evil.
Nevertheless I speak the truth to you. It is profitable for you that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He comes, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I am going to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.
And we have come to know and believe the love which God has in us. God is love, and he that abides in love abides in God, and God abides in him.
The Consummation of Love
By this love has been perfected with us: that we may have confidence in the Day of Judgment; because just as He is, we also are in this world. There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves punishment. But he that fears has not been made perfect in love.
For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.
in the day when God shall judge the secrets of men according to my gospel through Jesus Christ.
And inasmuch as it is appointed for men once to die and after this judgment, so also Christ, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time apart from sin unto salvation, to those who eagerly await Him.
"For yet a little while,
and He who is coming will come and will not delay.
But the just shall live by faith,
and if he withdraws,
My soul has no pleasure in him."
But we are not of those shrinking back to destruction, but of faith, to the saving of the soul.
Therefore let us not sleep, as others do, but let us watch and be sober. For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night. But we, since we are of the day, let us be sober, putting on a breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. For God did not appoint us to wrath, but to the obtaining of salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,
