Judgment at the Throne of God

11 Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat upon it, from whose *presence earth and heaven fled, and no place was found for them. 12 And I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and *books were opened; and another *book was opened, which is the book of life; and the dead were judged from the things which were written in the *books, according to their deeds. 13 And the sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades gave up the dead who were in them; and they were judged, each one of them according to their deeds. 14 Then Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death, the lake of fire. 15 And if *anyone’s name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire.

And coming out from before Him;

Thousands upon thousands were serving Him,

And myriads upon myriads were standing before Him;

The court *convened,

And the books were opened.

2 And many of those who sleep in the dust of the ground will awake, these to everlasting life, but the others to disgrace and everlasting *contempt. 3 And *those who have insight will shine like the glow of the *expanse of heaven, and those who *lead the many to righteousness, like the stars forever and ever.

31 because He has set a day on which He will judge *the world in righteousness *through a Man whom He has appointed, having furnished proof to all people *by raising Him from the dead."

36 But I tell you that for every *careless word that people *speak, they will give an account of it on the day of judgment.37 For *by your words you will be justified, and *by your words you will be condemned."

31 "But when the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the angels with Him, then He will sit on His glorious throne.32 And all the nations will be gathered before Him; and He will separate them from one another, just as the shepherd separates the sheep from the goats;33 and He will put the sheep on His right, but the goats on the left.

34 "Then the King will say to those on His right, ‘Come, you who are blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world.35 For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’37 Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?38 And when did we see You as a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?39 And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’40 And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it for one of the least of these brothers or sisters of Mine, you did it for Me.’

41 "Then He will also say to those on His left, ‘Depart from Me, you accursed people, into the eternal fire which has been prepared for the devil and his angels;42 for I was hungry, and you gave Me nothing to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me nothing to drink;43 I was a stranger, and you did not invite Me in; naked, and you did not clothe Me; sick, and in prison, and you did not visit Me.’44 Then they themselves also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, or thirsty, or as a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not *take care of You?’45 Then He will answer them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did not do it for one of the least of these, you did not do it for Me, either.’46 These will go away into eternal punishment, but the righteous into eternal life."

14 For God will bring every act to judgment, everything which is hidden, whether it is good or evil.

17 I said *to myself, "God will judge the righteous and the wicked," for a time for every matter and for every deed *is there.

30 "Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, each according to his conduct," declares the Lord God. "Repent and turn away from all your offenses, so that wrongdoing does not become a stumbling block to you. 31 Hurl away from you all your offenses which you have committed and make yourselves a new heart and a new spirit! For why should you die, house of Israel? 32 For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone who dies," declares the Lord God. "Therefore, repent and live!"

7 But I tell you the truth: it is to your advantage that I am leaving; for if I do not leave, the *Helper will not come to you; but if I go, I will send Him to you.8 And He, when He comes, will convict the world regarding sin, and righteousness, and judgment:9 regarding sin, because they do not believe in Me;10 and regarding righteousness, because I am going to the Father and you no longer are going to see Me;11 and regarding judgment, because the ruler of this world has been judged.

16 We have come to know and have believed the love which God has *for us. God is love, and the one who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him. 17 By this, love is perfected with us, so that we may have confidence in the day of judgment; because as He is, we also are in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love drives out fear, because fear *involves punishment, and the one who fears is not perfected in love.

10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive compensation for *his deeds done through the body, in accordance with what he has done, whether good or bad.

27 And just as it is destined for people to die once, and after this comes judgment, 28 so Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time for salvation without reference to sin, to those who eagerly await Him.

38 But My righteous one will live by faith;

And if he shrinks back, My soul has no pleasure in him.

39 But *we are not among those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith for the safekeeping of the soul.

6 so then, let’s not sleep as *others do, but let’s be alert and *sober. 7 For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who are drunk, get drunk at night. 8 But since we are of the day, let’s be *sober, having put on the breastplate of faith and love, and as a helmet, the hope of salvation. 9 For God has not destined us for wrath, but for obtaining salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ,

13 Before the Lord, for He is coming,

For He is coming to judge the earth.

He will judge the world in righteousness,

And the peoples in His faithfulness.
