33 But seek first the kingdom of God*,*and his righteousness,*and all these things will be provided for you.*

18 The wicked person earns an empty wage,

but the one who sows righteousness, a true reward.  *

21 The one who pursues righteousness and faithful love

will find life, righteousness, and honor.  *

3 Doing what is righteous and just

is more acceptable to the  Lord than sacrifice.  *

2 All a person’s ways seem right to him,

but the Lord weighs hearts.  *

2 Ill-gotten gains do not profit anyone,

but righteousness rescues from death.  *

21 He made the one who did not know sin  * to be sin  * for us,  * so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.

11 For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation  * for all people,  *12 instructing us to deny godlessness  * and worldly lusts  * and to live in a sensible, righteous,  * and godly  * way in the present age,

Fight the Good Fight

11 But you, man of God, flee from these things, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love,  * endurance,  * and gentleness.

8 Finally  * brothers and sisters, whatever is true,  * whatever is honorable,  * whatever is just,  * whatever is pure,  * whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable — if there is any moral excellence  * and if there is anything praiseworthy — dwell on these things.

7 Don’t be deceived: God is not mocked. For whatever a person sows he will also reap,

9 Let us not get tired  * of doing good,  * for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.

18 And the fruit of righteousness  * is sown in peace by those who cultivate peace.

16 Therefore, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you may be healed. The prayer of a righteous person is very powerful in its effect.  *

8 Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.  *

28 For the Lord loves justice

and will not abandon his faithful ones.  *

They are kept safe forever,

but the children of the wicked will be destroyed.  *

15 The eyes of the  Lord are on the righteous,

and his ears are open to their cry for help.  *

6 He will never be shaken.  *

The righteous one will be remembered forever.  *

The Two Ways

1 How happy is the one who does not

walk in the advice of the wicked

or stand in the pathway with sinners

or sit in the company of mockers!  *

10 I have sought you with all my heart;  *

don’t let me wander from your commands.  *

6 He will repay each one according to his works:  *,*

15 See to it that no one repays evil for evil  * to anyone,  * but always pursue what is good for one another and for all.  *

14 But even if you should suffer for righteousness,  * you are blessed. Do not fear them*,*or be intimidated,*,*

33 If you do what is good to those who are good to you, what credit is that to you? Even sinners do that.

25 It is a trap for anyone to dedicate something rashly

and later to reconsider his vows.  *
