the scroll of this Law does not depart out of your mouth, and you have meditated in it by day and by night, so that you observe to do according to all that is written in it, for then you cause your way to prosper, and then you act wisely.
[NUN] Your word [is] a lamp to my foot, || And a light to my path.
The opening of Your words enlightens, || Instructing the simple.
[MEM] O how I have loved Your law! It [is] my meditation all the day. Your command makes me wiser than my enemies, || For it [is] before me for all time. I have acted wisely above all my teachers. For Your testimonies [are] my meditation.
[BETH] With what does a young man purify his path? To observe—according to Your word. I have sought You with all my heart, || Do not let me err from Your commands. I have hid Your saying in my heart, || That I do not sin before You.
A Escritura é inspirada
Toda a Escritura é útil para ensinar, corrigir e instruir em justiça. Examine as Escrituras — nelas encontramos a vida eterna.
Every Writing [is] God-breathed, and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction that [is] in righteousness, that the man of God may be fitted—having been completed for every good work.
You search the Writings, because you think in them to have continuous life, and these are they that are testifying concerning Me;
for as many things as were written before, for our instruction were written before, that through the endurance, and the exhortation of the Writings, we might have the hope.
Blessed is he who is reading, and those hearing the words of the prophecy, and keeping the things written in it, for the time is near!
until I come, give heed to the reading, to the exhortation, to the teaching;
Estudar com diligência
Os bereanos eram mais nobres porque examinavam as Escrituras diariamente. O estudo dedicado da Bíblia produz maturidade espiritual.
and these were more noble than those in Thessalonica; they received the word with all readiness of mind, examining the Writings every day [to see] whether those things were so;
for Ezra has prepared his heart to seek the Law of YHWH, and to do, and to teach in Israel statute and judgment.
and they read in the Scroll, in the Law of God, explaining—so as to give the meaning, and they give understanding to the convocation.
And Jesus answering said to them, "Do you not go astray because of this, not knowing the Writings, nor the power of God?
And these words which I am commanding you today have been on your heart, and you have repeated them to your sons, and spoken of them in your sitting in your house, and in your walking in the way, and in your lying down, and in your rising up, and have bound them for a sign on your hand, and they have been for frontlets between your eyes,
My son, if you accept my sayings, || And lay up my commands with you, To cause your ear to attend to wisdom, || You incline your heart to understanding, For if you call for intelligence, || [And] give forth your voice for intelligence, If you seek her as silver, || And search for her as hid treasures, Then you understand the fear of YHWH, || And you find the knowledge of God. For YHWH gives wisdom, || Knowledge and understanding from His mouth.
