O que significa ser livre em Cristo

A verdadeira liberdade não é fazer tudo o que dá vontade, mas ser livre da culpa e do pecado por meio de Jesus. Quando Cristo transforma a sua caminhada, o passado perde o poder de condenar o seu presente.

1 Christ has set us free in freedom; stand fast therefore, and be not held again in a yoke of bondage.(Galatians 5:1)

36 If therefore the Son shall set you free, ye shall be really free.(John 8:36)

31 Jesus therefore said to the Jews who believed him, If ye abide in my word, ye are truly my disciples; 32 and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall set you free.(John 8:31,32)

Liberdade para servir, não para tropeçar

Ser livre na fé não é desculpa para se descuidar ou machucar os outros. A liberdade que Jesus dá ensina a fazer escolhas com discernimento e a colocar a vida a serviço do próximo.

13 For ye have been called to liberty, brethren; only do not turn liberty into an opportunity to the flesh, but by love serve one another.(Galatians 5:13)
