O que significa ser livre em Cristo

A verdadeira liberdade não é fazer tudo o que dá vontade, mas ser livre da culpa e do pecado por meio de Jesus. Quando Cristo transforma a sua caminhada, o passado perde o poder de condenar o seu presente.

1 It was for freedom that Christ set us free; therefore keep standing firm and do not be subject again to a yoke of slavery.(Galatians 5:1)

36 So if the Son sets you free, you really will be free.(John 8:36)

31 So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly My disciples;32 and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."(John 8:31,32)

Liberdade para servir, não para tropeçar

Ser livre na fé não é desculpa para se descuidar ou machucar os outros. A liberdade que Jesus dá ensina a fazer escolhas com discernimento e a colocar a vida a serviço do próximo.

13 For you were called to freedom, brothers and sisters; only do not turn your freedom into an opportunity for the flesh, but serve one another through love.(Galatians 5:13)

12 All things are permitted for me, but not all things are of benefit. All things are permitted for me, but I will not be mastered by anything.(1 Corinthians 6:12)

16 Act as free people, and do not use your freedom as a covering for evil, but use it as bond-servants of God.(1 Peter 2:16)
