Os frutos do Espírito são evidências visíveis da presença de Deus na vida do crente. Amor, alegria, paz, paciência — são marcas que diferenciam os filhos de Deus no mundo.
O fruto do Espírito
O fruto do Espírito é amor, alegria, paz, paciência, amabilidade, bondade, fidelidade, mansidão e domínio próprio. Contra estas coisas não há lei.
But the Spirit produces fruit such as love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, trust, gentleness, self-control—and there’s no law against these kinds of things!
At one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. You are to live as children of light (and the fruit of light is everything that’s good and right and true), demonstrating what the Lord really appreciates.
However, wisdom that comes from above is first of all pure, and it also brings peace. It is kind and open to reason. It is full of mercy and produces good things. It is genuine and not hypocritical. Those who sow peace will harvest the peace of what is truly good and right.
In the same way, my friends, you’ve become dead to the law through the body of Christ, and so now you belong to someone else—Christ, who was raised from the dead so that we could live productive lives for God. While we were controlled by old nature, our sinful desires (as revealed by the law) were at work within us and resulted in death. But now we’ve been set free from the law, and have died to what kept us in chains, so that we can serve in the newness of the spirit and not the old letter of the law.
But what were the results back then? Aren’t you ashamed of the things you did? Such things that lead to death! But now that you’re set free from sin, and have become God’s slaves, the results will be a pure life—and in the end, eternal life.
Permanecer em Cristo
Quem permanece em Cristo dá muito fruto. Toda árvore boa produz bons frutos — e é pelo fruto que se conhece a árvore.
Remain in me, and I will remain in you. Just as a branch cannot produce fruit unless it remains part of the vine, so it is for you: you cannot bear fruit unless you remain in me. I’m the vine, you’re the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce plenty of fruit—for apart from me you can’t do anything.
My Father is glorified as you produce plenty of fruit, proving you are my disciples.
A good tree doesn’t produce bad fruit, and a bad tree doesn’t produce good fruit. You recognize a tree by the fruit it produces. You don’t pick figs from thorn bushes, or harvest grapes from brambles. Good people produce what’s good from the good things they value that they have stored inside them. Bad people produce what’s bad from the bad things they have stored inside them. What fills people’s minds spills out in what they say.
Show by what you do that you have truly repented,
Semear e colher
Quem semeia na justiça colherá fruto de vida. Os frutos do Espírito são a colheita de uma vida plantada no Senhor.
Sow for yourselves what is right and you will reap unfailing love. Break up the unplowed ground. It’s time to go to the Lord until he comes and rains down goodness on you.
Tell those who live right that they will be fine, for they will be happy to receive the reward for what they have done.
Not only creation, but we too, who have a foretaste of the Spirit, we groan inwardly as we wait for God to "adopt" us—the redemption of our bodies.
The fruit I produce is better than gold, even pure gold, and my harvest is better than even the best silver.
