17 The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears;

He delivers them from all their troubles.

15 When he calls out to Me,

I will answer him;

I will be with him in trouble.

I will deliver him and honor him.

2 I will say to the LORD, "You are my refuge and my fortress,

my God, in whom I trust."

3 Surely He will deliver you

from the snare of the fowler,

and from the deadly plague.

20 Our God is a God of deliverance;

the Lord GOD is our rescuer from death.

13 For You have delivered my soul from death,

and my feet from stumbling,

that I may walk before God

in the light of life.

4 Rescue the weak and needy;

save them from the hand of the wicked.

13 Be pleased, O LORD, to deliver me;

hurry, O LORD, to help me.

6 Therefore let all the godly pray to You

while You may be found.

Surely when great waters rise,

they will not come near.

17 If the God whom we serve exists, then He is able* to deliver us from the blazing fiery furnace and from your hand, O king. 18 But even if He does not, let it be known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden statue you have set up."

18 He rescued me from my powerful enemy,

from foes too mighty for me.

14 But Eleazar and David stationed themselves* in the middle of the field and defended it. They struck down the Philistines, and the LORD brought about a great victory.

23 If you do mistreat them, and they cry out to Me in distress, I will surely hear their cry.

13 Even from eternity I am He,

and none can deliver out of My hand.

When I act, who can reverse it?"

13 for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."*

16 And now what are you waiting for? Get up, be baptized, and wash your sins away, calling on His name.’

10 and to await His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead — Jesus our deliverer from the coming wrath.

14 and if My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, forgive their sin, and heal their land.

13 And I will do whatever you ask in My name, so that the Father may be glorified in the Son. 14 If you ask Me*TR does not include Me. for anything in My name, I will do it.

Jesus Promises the Holy Spirit

15 If you love Me, you will keep*Or If you love Me, keep My commandments. 16 And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Advocate*Or Comforter or Helper or Counselor; Greek Paraclete; also in verse 26 to be with you forever —

31 We know that God does not listen to sinners, but He does listen to the one who worships Him and does His will.

8 Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.

11 So if you who are evil know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

26 He prays to God and finds favor;

he sees God’s face and shouts for joy,

and God restores His righteousness

to that man.
