20 But don’t be happy because evil spirits obey you. Be happy that your names are written in heaven!

3 And, my true partner,* I ask you to help them. These women have worked together with me and with Clement and with the others in spreading the good news. Their names are now written in the book of life.*

8 *The beast was worshiped by everyone whose name wasn’t written before the time of creation in the book of the Lamb who was killed.*

8 *The beast you saw is one that used to be and no longer is. It will come back from the deep pit, but only to be destroyed. Everyone on earth whose names were not written in the book of life* before the time of creation will be amazed. They will see this beast that used to be and no longer is, but will be once more.

The Judgment at the Great White Throne

11 *I saw a great white throne with someone sitting on it. Earth and heaven tried to run away, but there was no place for them to go. 12 *I also saw all the dead people standing in front of that throne. Every one of them was there, no matter who they had once been. Several books were opened, and then the book of life* was opened. The dead were judged by what those books said they had done.

13 The sea gave up the dead people who were in it, and death and its kingdom also gave up their dead. Then everyone was judged by what they had done. 14 Afterwards, death and its kingdom were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death.*15 Anyone whose name wasn’t written in the book of life was thrown into the lake of fire.

27 *But nothing unworthy will be allowed to enter. No one who is dirty-minded or who tells lies will be there. Only those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life* will be in the city.

Part Four: The Dead Will Rise to Life

1 *Michael, the chief of the angels, is the protector of your people, and he will come at a time of terrible suffering, the worst in all of history. And your people who have their names written in The Book* will be protected. 2 *Many of those who lie dead in the ground will rise from death. Some of them will be given eternal life, and others will receive nothing but eternal shame and disgrace.

5 *Everyone who wins the victory will wear white clothes. Their names will not be erased from the book of life,* and I will tell my Father and his angels that they are my followers.

16 but with your own eyes you saw

my body being formed.

Even before I was born,

you had written in your book

everything about me.

8 You have kept record

of my days of wandering.

You have stored my tears

in your bottle

and counted each of them.

26 They cause trouble for people

you have already punished;

their gossip hurts those

you have wounded.

27 Make them guiltier than ever

and don’t forgive them.

28 *Wipe their names from the book

of the living;

remove them from the list

of the innocent.

Faithfulness Is Rewarded

16 All those who truly respected the Lord and honored his name started discussing these things, and when God saw what was happening, he had their names* written as a reminder in his book.

32 *But I beg you to forgive them. If you don’t, please wipe my name out of your book."*

33 The Lord replied, "I will wipe out of my book the name of everyone who has sinned against me.
