Na Bíblia, a luz representa a verdade divina, a santidade e a salvação, enquanto as trevas simbolizam o pecado, o engano e a morte espiritual.
Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; the one who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life."(John 8:12)
In Him was life, and the life was the Light of mankind. And the Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not grasp it.(John 1:4,5)
While I am in the world, I am the Light of the world."(John 9:5)
I have come as Light into the world, so that no one who believes in Me will remain in darkness.(John 12:46)
And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light; for their deeds were evil.For everyone who does evil hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, so that his deeds will not be exposed.But the one who practices the truth comes to the Light, so that his deeds will be revealed as having been performed in God."(John 3:19-21)
This is the message we have heard from Him and announce to you, that God is Light, and in Him there is no darkness at all.(1 John 1:5)
but if we walk in the Light as He Himself is in the Light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus His Son cleanses us from all sin.(1 John 1:7)
Every good thing given and every perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shifting shadow.(James 1:17)
"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden;nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.Your light must shine before people in such a way that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven.(Matthew 5:14-16)
The people who were sitting in darkness saw a great Light,
And those who were sitting in the land and shadow of death,
Upon them a Light dawned."(Matthew 4:16)
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a people forGod’s own possession, so that you may proclaim the excellencies of Him who has called you out of darkness into His marvelous light;(1 Peter 2:9)
for you are all sons of light and sons of day. We are not of night nor of darkness;(1 Thessalonians 5:5)
Your word is a lamp to my feet
And a light to my path.(Psalm 119:105)
The unfolding of Your words gives light;
It gives understanding to the simple.(Psalm 119:130)
The Lord is my light and my salvation;
Whom should I fear?
The Lord is the defense of my life;
Whom should I dread?(Psalm 27:1)
For the fountain of life is with You;
In Your light we see light.(Psalm 36:9)
For You light my lamp;
The Lord my God illumines my darkness.(Psalm 18:28)
Commit your way to the Lord,
Trust also in Him, and He will do it.
He will bring out your righteousness as the light,
And your judgment as the noonday.(Psalm 37:5,6)
For You have saved my soul from death,
Indeed my feet from stumbling,
So that I may walk before God
In the light of the living.(Psalm 56:13)
Lord God of armies, restore us;
Make Your face shine upon us,and we will be saved.(Psalm 80:19)
For by their own sword they did not possess the land,
And their own arm did not save them,
But Your right hand and Your arm and the light of Your presence,
For You favored them.(Psalm 44:3)
Make Your face shine upon Your servant;
Save me in Your faithfulness.(Psalm 31:16)
in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they will not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. For we do not preach ourselves, but Christ Jesus as Lord, and ourselves as your bond-servants on account of Jesus. For God, who said, "Light shall shine out of darkness," is the One who has shone in our hearts to give the Light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.(2 Corinthians 4:4-6)
Do not be mismatched with unbelievers; for what do righteousness and lawlessness share together, or what does light have in common with darkness?(2 Corinthians 6:14)
I pray that the eyes of your heart may be enlightened, so that you will know what is the hope of His calling, what are the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the saints,(Ephesians 1:18)
The people who walk in darkness
Will see a great light;
Those who live in a dark land,
The light will shine on them.(Isaiah 9:2)
"Arise, shine; for your light has come,
And the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.
"For behold, darkness will cover the earth
And deep darkness the peoples;
But the Lord will rise upon you
And His glory will appear upon you.
"Nations will come to your light,
And kings to the brightness of your rising.(Isaiah 60:1-3)
"Pay attention to Me, My people,
And listen to Me, My nation;
For a law will go out from Me,
And I will bring My justice as a light of the peoples.(Isaiah 51:4)
O testemunho cristão e a esperança final
Then God said, "Let there be light"; and there was light.(Genesis 1:3)
The Lord bless you, and keep you;
The Lord cause His face to shine on you,
And be gracious to you;
The Lord lift up His face to you,
And give you peace.’(Numbers 6:24-26)
"It is He who reveals the profound and hidden things;
He knows what is in the darkness,
And the light dwells with Him.(Daniel 2:22)
For so the Lord has commanded us,
‘I have appointed You as a lightto the Gentiles,
That You maybring salvation to the end of the earth.’ "(Acts 13:47)
So, having obtained help from God, I stand to this day testifying both to small and great, stating nothing but what the Prophets and Moses said was going to take place, as to whether the Christ was to suffer, and whether, as first from the resurrection of the dead, He would proclaim light both to the Jewish people and to the Gentiles."(Acts 26:22,23)
"Now no one lights a lamp and covers it over with a container, or puts it under a bed; but he puts it on a lampstand so that those who come in may see the light.(Luke 8:16)
Your eye is the lamp of your body; when your eye is clear, your whole body also is full of light; but when it is bad, your body also is full of darkness.(Luke 11:34)
Accordingly, whatever you have said in the dark will be heard in the light, and what you have whispered in the inner rooms will be proclaimed on the housetops.(Luke 12:3)
And the city has no need of the sun or of the moon to shine on it, for the glory of God has illuminated it, and its lamp is the Lamb.(Revelation 21:23)
And there will no longer be any night; and they will not have need of the light of a lamp nor the light of the sun, because the Lord God will illuminate them; and they will reign forever and ever.(Revelation 22:5)
