A existência do mal é realidade que a Bíblia confronta diretamente. Deus não é autor do mal, mas nos dá armas para vencê-lo e promete que o bem sempre prevalecerá.
Separar-se do mal
O temor do Senhor é aborrecer o mal. A Bíblia nos exorta a odiar o pecado, guardar os pés do mal e fugir de toda aparência maligna.
The fear of Yahweh is hatred of evil,
pride, and arrogance and an evil way.
And I hate a mouth of perversity.
You who love Yahweh, hate evil.
He protects the lives of his faithful;
he delivers them from the hand of the wicked.
Turn from evil and do good.
Seek peace and pursue it.
Direct my steps in your word,
and do not let any iniquity gain power over me.
Wash! Make yourselves clean!
Remove the evil of your doings from before my eyes!
Cease to do evil!
Do not be wise in your own eyes;
fear Yahweh and retreat from evil.
There shall be healing for your flesh,
and refreshment for your body.
Vencer o mal com o bem
Não te deixes vencer do mal, mas vence o mal com o bem. A luz brilha nas trevas, e as trevas não prevalecem contra ela.
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
Living in Love
Love must be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil; be attached to what is good,
Concluding Exhortations
Now I exhort you, brothers, to look out for those who cause dissensions and temptations contrary to the teaching which you learned, and stay away from them.
And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.
See to it that no one pays back evil for evil to anyone, but always pursue good toward one another and toward all people.
but examine all things; hold fast to what is good. Abstain from every form of evil.
Proteção contra o mal
Deus nos livra do mal e guarda nossos passos. Devemos nos revestir da armadura de Deus para resistir às forças das trevas.
And do not bring us into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you protect them from the evil one.
Yahweh will protect you from all evil;
he will protect your life.
Yahweh will protect your going out and your coming in
from now until forever.
The Lord will rescue me from every evil deed, and will save me for his heavenly kingdom, to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
Put on the full armor of God, so that you may be able to stand against the stratagems of the devil,
because our struggle is not against blood and flesh, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the world rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Be angry and do not sin; do not let the sun set on your anger, nor give place to the devil.
Deus transforma o mal em bem
O que o mal pretendeu contra nós, Deus transformou em bem. Ele tira pureza da aflição e confessa a restauração dos arrependidos.
As for you, you planned evil against me, but God planned it for good, in order to do this—to keep many people alive—as it is today.
Therefore, putting aside all moral uncleanness and wicked excess, welcome with humility the implanted message which is able to save your souls.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just, so that he will forgive us our sins and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
And he said, "What comes out of a person, that defiles a person. For from within, from the heart of people, come evil plans, sexual immoralities, thefts, murders, adulteries, acts of greed, malicious deeds, deceit, licentiousness, envy, abusive speech, pride, foolishness. All these evil things come from within and defile a person."
Hatred stirs up strife,
but love covers over all offenses.
"Thus says Yahweh of hosts: ‘Judge with trustworthy justice, and show steadfast love and compassion to one another.You must not oppress the widow, the orphan, the foreigner, and the needy. You must not devise evil in your heart against one another.’
