15 But He said to them, "Beware, and be on your guard against every form of greed; for not even when one is affluent does his life consist of his possessions."(Luke 12:15)

5 Therefore, *treat the parts of your earthly body as dead to sexual immorality, impurity, passion, evil desire, and greed, which *amounts to idolatry.(Colossians 3:5)

26 For what good will it do a person if he gains the whole world, but *forfeits his soul? Or what will a person give in exchange for his soul?(Matthew 16:26)

10 One who loves money will not be satisfied with money, nor one who loves abundance with its income. This too is futility.(Ecclesiastes 5:10)

16 Better is a little with *the fear of the Lord

Than great treasure, and turmoil with *the treasure.(Proverbs 15:16)

16 How much better it is to get wisdom than gold!

And to get understanding is to be chosen above silver.(Proverbs 16:16)

1 A good name is to be more desired than great wealth;

Favor is better than silver and gold.(Proverbs 22:1)

8 Keep deception and *lies far from me,

Give me neither poverty nor riches;

Feed me with the food that is my portion,(Proverbs 30:8)

9 Likewise, I want women to adorn themselves with proper clothing, *modestly and discreetly, not with braided hair and gold or pearls or expensive apparel, 10 but rather by means of good works, as is proper for women making a claim to godliness.(1 Timothy 2:9,10)

19 "Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal.20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys, and where thieves do not break in or steal;(Matthew 6:19,20)

21 for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.(Matthew 6:21)
