Medo da morte

Por Bíblia Online

O medo da morte é universal, mas Cristo o venceu. A Bíblia ensina que para quem crê, a morte perdeu o aguilhão — não é mais motivo de terror, mas porta para a eternidade com Deus.

Cristo venceu a morte

Jesus assumiu carne e sangue para, pela morte, destruir o que tinha o poder da morte e libertar os que viviam em escravidão pelo medo dela.

Therefore, since [these His] children share in flesh and blood [the physical nature of mankind], He Himself in a similar manner also shared in the same [physical nature, but without sin], so that through [experiencing] death He might make powerless (ineffective, impotent) him who had the power of deaththat is, the deviland [that He] might free all those who through [the haunting] fear of death were held in slavery throughout their lives.

And when this perishable puts on the imperishable, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the Scripture will be fulfilled that says, "Death is swallowed up in victory (vanquished forever). [Is 25:8] O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?" [Hos 13:14] The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin [by which it brings death] is the law; but thanks be to God, who gives us the victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.

We have therefore been buried with Him through baptism into death, so that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory and power of the Father, we too might walk habitually in newness of life [abandoning our old ways]. For if we have become one with Him [permanently united] in the likeness of His death, we will also certainly be [one with Him and share fully] in the likeness of His resurrection.

A promessa da vida eterna

Quem ouve a Palavra e crê já passou da morte para a vida. O amor perfeito lança fora o medo, até o medo da morte.

"I assure you and most solemnly say to you, the person who hears My word [the one who heeds My message], and believes and trusts in Him who sent Me, has (possesses now) eternal life [that is, eternal life actually beginsthe believer is transformed], and does not come into judgment and condemnation, but has passed [over] from death into life.

Jesus said to her, "I am the Resurrection and the Life. Whoever believes in (adheres to, trusts in, relies on) Me [as Savior] will live even if he dies;

I assure you and most solemnly say to you, if anyone keeps My word [by living in accordance with My message] he will indeed never, ever see and experience death."

"For God so [greatly] loved and dearly prized the world, that He [even] gave His [One and] only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him [as Savior] shall not perish, but have eternal life.

There is no fear in love [dread does not exist]. But perfect (complete, full-grown) love drives out fear, because fear involves [the expectation of divine] punishment, so the one who is afraid [of God’s judgment] is not perfected in love [has not grown into a sufficient understanding of God’s love].

Não temas

Jesus disse: não temais os que matam o corpo. No vale da sombra da morte, o Senhor está conosco como pastor e protetor.

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; but rather be afraid of Him who can destroy both soul and body in hell.

Even though I walk through the [sunless] valley of the shadow of death,

I fear no evil, for You are with me;

Your rod [to protect] and Your staff [to guide], they comfort and console me.

and He will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be death; there will no longer be sorrow and anguish, or crying, or pain; for the former order of things has passed away." [Is 25:8; 35:10]

Fear nothing that you are about to suffer. Be aware that the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, that you may be tested [in your faith], and for ten days you will have tribulation. Be faithful to the point of death [if you must die for your faith], and I will give you the crown [consisting] of life. [Rev 3:10, 11]

He enters into peace [through death];

They rest in their beds (graves),

Each one who walked uprightly [following God’s will, living with integrity].

For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord [in prayer] will be saved." [Joel 2:32]

Just as it is written and forever remains written,

"For Your sake we are put to death all day long;

We are regarded as sheep for the slaughter." [Ps 44:22]

Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors and gain an overwhelming victory through Him who loved us [so much that He died for us]. For I am convinced [and continue to be convincedbeyond any doubt] that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present and threatening, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the [unlimited] love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
