Mente
And Jesus said to him, "You will love the LORD your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your understanding—
mind the things above, not the things on the earth,
See, then, how exactly you walk, not as unwise, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil;
For I say, through the grace that was given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think above what it ought to think; but to think so as to think wisely, as to each God dealt a measure of faith,
Sabedoria e discernimento
A sabedoria é melhor que rubis. Quem a encontra, encontra a vida. A mente sábia discerne, planeja e previne erros.
O the blessedness of a man [who] has found wisdom, || And of a man [who] brings forth understanding.
Whoever is getting heart is loving his soul, || He is keeping understanding to find good.
Iron is sharpened by iron, || And a man sharpens the face of his friend.
A fool despises the instruction of his father, || And whoever is regarding reproof is prudent.
Even a fool keeping silence is reckoned wise, || He who is shutting his lips [seems] intelligent!
The prudent has seen the evil, he is hidden, || The simple have passed on, they are punished.
Construir sobre a rocha
Quem ouve as palavras de Jesus e as pratica é como o sábio que edificou sobre a rocha firme e inabalável.
Therefore, everyone who hears these words of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock;
Who [is] wise and intelligent among you? Let him show his works out of good behavior in meekness of wisdom,
for I decided not to know anything among you, except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified;
for the invisible things of Him from the creation of the world, by the things made being understood, are plainly seen, both His eternal power and Godhead—to their being inexcusable;
for in abundance of wisdom [is] abundance of sadness, and he who adds knowledge adds pain."
