Milagres

Ele abriu o mar, fez cair fogo do céu e ressuscitou mortos. Seu poder não tem limites.

But Jesus looked at them and said, "With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but with God all things are possible." [Gen 18:14; Job 42:2]

But Jesus looked at them and said, "With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but with God all things are possible." [Gen 18:14; Job 42:2]

For with God nothing [is or ever] shall be impossible."

"Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh; is there anything too difficult for Me?"

Then Moses stretched out his hand over the sea; and the Lord swept the sea back by a strong east wind all that night and turned the seabed into dry land, and the waters were divided. The Israelites went into the middle of the sea on dry land, and the waters formed a wall to them on their right hand and on their left.

I will [solemnly] remember the deeds of the Lord;

Yes, I will [wholeheartedly] remember Your wonders of old.

I will meditate on all Your works

And thoughtfully consider all Your [great and wondrous] deeds.

You are the [awesome] God who works [powerful] wonders;

You have demonstrated Your power among the people.

Milagres pela fé

Se tiverdes fé como um grão de mostarda, movereis montanhas. A fé é a chave que acessa o poder miraculoso de Deus.

He answered, "Because of your little faith [your lack of trust and confidence in the power of God]; for I assure you and most solemnly say to you, if you have [living] faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there,and [if it is God’s will] it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you. [Mark 11:23; Luke 17:6; 1 John 5:14]

Jesus replied to them, "I assure you and most solemnly say to you, if you have faith [personal trust and confidence in Me] and do not doubt or allow yourself to be drawn in two directions, you will not only do what was done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and thrown into the sea,it will happen [if God wills it]. [1 John 5:14]

Jesus said to him, "[You say to Me,] If You can?All things are possible for the one who believes and trusts [in Me]!"

Looking at them, Jesus said, "With people [as far as it depends on them] it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God."

But He said, "The things that are impossible with people are possible with God." [Gen 18:14; Jer 32:17]

And He did not do many miracles there [in Nazareth] because of their unbelief.

Sinais e prodígios

Os apóstolos realizaram sinais e maravilhas em nome de Jesus. Os dons do Espírito incluem a operação de milagres e a fé sobrenatural.

"Men of Israel, listen to these words: Jesus of Nazareth, a Man accredited and pointed out and attested to you by God with [the power to perform] miracles and wonders and signs which God worked through Him in your [very] midst, just as you yourselves know

And when they had prayed, the place where they were meeting together was shaken [a sign of God’s presence]; and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak the word of God with boldness and courage.

Miracles at Ephesus

God was doing extraordinary and unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or face-towels or aprons that had touched his skin were brought to the sick, and their diseases left them and the evil spirits came out [of them].

The signs that indicate a genuine apostle were performed among you fully and most patientlysigns and wonders and miracles.

So God has appointed and placed in the church [for His own use]: first apostles [chosen by Christ], second prophets [those who foretell the future, those who speak a new message from God to the people], third teachers, then those who work miracles, then those with the gifts of healings, the helpers, the administrators, and speakers in various kinds of [unknown] tongues.

To one is given through the [Holy] Spirit [the power to speak] the message of wisdom, and to another [the power to express] the word of knowledge and understanding according to the same Spirit; to another [wonder-working] faith [is given] by the same [Holy] Spirit, and to another the [extraordinary] gifts of healings by the one Spirit; and to another the working of miracles, and to another prophecy [foretelling the future, speaking a new message from God to the people], and to another discernment of spirits [the ability to distinguish sound, godly doctrine from the deceptive doctrine of man-made religions and cults], to another various kinds of [unknown] tongues, and to another interpretation of tongues.

But Jesus said, "Do not stop him; for there is no one who will perform a miracle in My name, and be able soon afterward to speak evil of Me.For he who is not against us is for us. [Num 11:27-29]

Milagres de cura e provisão

A oração da fé salvará o enfermo. Deus provê, cura e intervém quando clamamos a Ele com fé genuína.

and the prayer of faith will restore the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up; and if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore, confess your sins to one another [your false steps, your offenses], and pray for one another, that you may be healed and restored. The heartfelt and persistent prayer of a righteous man (believer) is able to accomplish much [when put into action and made effective by Godit is dynamic and can have tremendous power].

Elijah was a man with a nature like ours [with the same physical, mental, and spiritual limitations and shortcomings], and he prayed intensely for it not to rain, and it did not rain on the earth for three years and six months. [1 Kin 17:1] Then he prayed again, and the sky gave rain and the land produced its crops [as usual]. [1 Kin 18:42-45]

Then He took the five loaves and the two fish, and He looked up to heaven [and gave thanks] and blessed them, and broke them and kept giving them to the disciples to set before the crowd. They all ate and were [completely] satisfied; and the broken pieces which they had left over were [abundant and were] picked uptwelve baskets full.

Healing on the Sabbath

Now Jesus was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath. And there was a woman who for eighteen years had had an illness caused by a spirit (demon). She was bent double, and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, He called her over and said to her, "Woman, you are released from your illness."Then He laid His hands on her; and immediately she stood erect again and she began glorifying and praising God. But the leader of the synagogue, indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, began saying to the crowd in response, "There are six days in which work ought to be done; so come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day." [Ex 20:9, 10] But the Lord replied to him, "You hypocrites (play-actors, pretenders)! Does not each one of you on the Sabbath untie his ox or his donkey from the stall and lead it away to water it?And this woman, a daughter (descendant) of Abraham whom Satan has bound for eighteen long years, should she not have been released from this bond on the Sabbath day?"As He was saying this, all His opponents were being humiliated; and the entire crowd was rejoicing over all the glorious things that were being done by Him.

This, the first of His signs (attesting miracles), Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed His glory [displaying His deity and His great power openly], and His disciples believed [confidently] in Him [as the Messiahthey adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Him]. [Deut 5:24; Ps 72:19]

When the people saw the sign (attesting miracle) that He had done, they began saying, "This is without a doubt the promised Prophet who is to come into the world!" [Deut 18:15, 18; John 1:21; Acts 3:22]

Jesus said to him, "Because you have seen Me, do you now believe? Blessed [happy, spiritually secure, and favored by God] are they who did not see [Me] and yet believed [in Me]."

Purpose of Writing this Gospel

There are also many other signs (attesting miracles) that Jesus performed in the presence of the disciples, which are not written in this book; but these have been written so that you may believe [with a deep, abiding trust] that Jesus is the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed), the Son of God; and that by believing [and trusting in and relying on Him] you may have life in His name. [Ps 2:7, 12]

So the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, went in too; and he saw [the wrappings and the face-cloth] and believed [without any doubt that Jesus had risen from the dead]. For as yet they did not understand the Scripture, that He must rise from the dead. [Ps 16:10]

Discernimento nos sinais

A Bíblia alerta contra falsos milagres e sinais enganosos. Devemos provar os espíritos e não seguir sinais que desviam de Deus.

Shun Idolatry

"If a prophet arises among you, or a dreamer of dreams, and gives you a sign or a wonder, and the sign or the wonder which he spoke (foretold) to you comes to pass, and if he says, Let us follow after other gods (whom you have not known) and let us serve and worship them,you shall not listen to the words of that prophet or that dreamer of dreams; for the Lord your God is testing you to know whether you love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and all your soul [your entire being]. You shall walk after the Lord your God and you shall fear [and worship] Him [with awe-filled reverence and profound respect], and you shall keep His commandments and you shall listen to His voice, and you shall serve Him, and cling to Him.

Armageddon

And I saw three loathsome spirits like frogs, leaping from the mouth of the dragon (Satan) and from the mouth of the beast (Antichrist, dictator) and from the mouth of the false prophet; [Ex 8:3; 1 Kin 22:21-23] for they are [actually] the spirits of demons, performing [miraculous] signs. And they go out to the kings of the entire inhabited earth, to gather them together for the war of the great day of God, the Almighty.

The Desire for Signs

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, "Teacher, we want to see a sign (attesting miracle) from You [proving that You are what You claim to be]." But He replied and said to them, "An evil and adulterous generation [that is morally unfaithful to God] craves and demands a [miraculous] sign; but no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah; [Luke 11:29-32] for just as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth. [Jon 1:17]

The Unrepenting Cities

Then He began to denounce [the people in] the cities in which most of His miracles were done, because they did not repent [and change their hearts and lives]. "Woe (judgment is coming) to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the miracles done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon [cities of the Gentiles], they would have repented long ago in sackcloth and ashes [their hearts would have been changed and they would have expressed sorrow for their sin and rebellion against God]. Nevertheless I say to you, it will be more tolerable for [the pagan cities of] Tyre and Sidon on the day of judgment than for you.And you, Capernaum, are you to be exalted to heaven [for your apathy and unresponsiveness]? You will descend to Hades (the realm of the dead); for if the miracles done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.But I say to you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom on the day of judgment, than for you."

A criação como milagre

O próprio corpo humano é milagre de Deus. Toda a criação testifica do poder e da sabedoria do Criador.

For You formed my innermost parts;

You knit me [together] in my mother’s womb.

I will give thanks and praise to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made;

Wonderful are Your works,

And my soul knows it very well.

A Psalm of Thanksgiving for God’s Justice.
To the Chief Musician; on #9:0 A transliteration of the Hebrew, whose meaning is unknown. Possibly referring to a tune titled "Death to the Son." Perhaps for soprano voices.Muth-labben. A Psalm of David.

I will give thanks and praise the Lord, with all my heart;

I will tell aloud all Your wonders and marvelous deeds.

Therefore the Lord Himself will give you a sign: Listen carefully, the virgin will conceive and give birth to a son, and she will call his name Immanuel (God with us). [Is 9:6; Jer 31:22; Mic 5:3-5; Matt 1:22, 23]

All this happened in order to fulfill what the Lord had spoken through the prophet [Isaiah]: "Behold, thevirgin shall be with child and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Immanuel"which, when translated, means, "God with us." [Is 7:14]

But when they saw Him walking on the sea, they thought it was a ghost, and cried out [in horror]; for they all saw Him and were shaken and terrified. But He immediately spoke with them and said, "Take courage! It is I (I AM)! Stop being afraid." [Ex 3:14]

But Jesus, hearing this, answered him, "Do not be afraid any longer; only believe and trust [in Me and have faith in My ability to do this], and she will be made well."

As soon as He was approaching [Jerusalem], near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the entire multitude of the disciples [all those who were or claimed to be His followers] began praising God [adoring Him enthusiastically and] joyfully with loud voices for all the miracles and works of power that they had seen, shouting,

"Blessed (celebrated, praised) is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!

Peace in heaven and glory (majesty, splendor) in the highest [heaven]!" [Ps 118:26]

The Ascension

And after He said these things, He was caught up as they looked on, and a cloud took Him up out of their sight.

And I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?

The Plague of Locusts

Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh, for I have hardened his heart and the heart of his servants [making them determined and unresponsive], so that I may exhibit My signs [of divine power] among them, and that you may recount and explain in the hearing of your son, and your grandson, what I have done [repeatedly] to make a mockery of the EgyptiansMy signs [of divine power] which I have done among themso that you may know [without any doubt] and recognize [clearly] that I am the Lord."
