Milagres

Ele abriu o mar, fez cair fogo do céu e ressuscitou mortos. Seu poder não tem limites.

Jesus looked straight at them and answered, "This is impossible for human beings, but for God everything is possible."

Jesus looked straight at them and answered, "This is impossible for human beings, but for God everything is possible."

For there is nothing that God cannot do."

"I am the Lord, the God of all people. Nothing is too difficult for me.

Moses held out his hand over the sea, and the Lord drove the sea back with a strong east wind. It blew all night and turned the sea into dry land. The water was divided, and the Israelites went through the sea on dry ground, with walls of water on both sides.

I will remember your great deeds, Lord;

I will recall the wonders you did in the past.

I will think about all that you have done;

I will meditate on all your mighty acts.

You are the God who works miracles;

you showed your might among the nations.

Milagres pela fé

Se tiverdes fé como um grão de mostarda, movereis montanhas. A fé é a chave que acessa o poder miraculoso de Deus.

"It was because you do not have enough faith," answered Jesus. "I assure you that if you have faith as big as a mustard seed, you can say to this hill, Go from here to there!and it will go. You could do anything!"

Jesus answered, "I assure you that if you believe and do not doubt, you will be able to do what I have done to this fig tree. And not only this, but you will even be able to say to this hill, Get up and throw yourself in the sea,and it will.

"Yes," said Jesus, "if you yourself can! Everything is possible for the person who has faith."

Jesus looked straight at them and answered, "This is impossible for human beings but not for God; everything is possible for God."

Jesus answered, "What is humanly impossible is possible for God."

Because they did not have faith, he did not perform many miracles there.

Sinais e prodígios

Os apóstolos realizaram sinais e maravilhas em nome de Jesus. Os dons do Espírito incluem a operação de milagres e a fé sobrenatural.

"Listen to these words, fellow Israelites! Jesus of Nazareth was a man whose divine authority was clearly proven to you by all the miracles and wonders which God performed through him. You yourselves know this, for it happened here among you.

When they finished praying, the place where they were meeting was shaken. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to proclaim God’s message with boldness.

The Sons of Sceva

God was performing unusual miracles through Paul. Even handkerchiefs and aprons he had used were taken to the sick, and their diseases were driven away, and the evil spirits would go out of them.

The many miracles and wonders that prove that I am an apostle were performed among you with much patience.

In the church God has put all in place: in the first place apostles, in the second place prophets, and in the third place teachers; then those who perform miracles, followed by those who are given the power to heal or to help others or to direct them or to speak in strange tongues.

The Spirit gives one person a message full of wisdom, while to another person the same Spirit gives a message full of knowledge. One and the same Spirit gives faith to one person, while to another person he gives the power to heal. The Spirit gives one person the power to work miracles; to another, the gift of speaking God’s message; and to yet another, the ability to tell the difference between gifts that come from the Spirit and those that do not. To one person he gives the ability to speak in strange tongues, and to another he gives the ability to explain what is said.

"Do not try to stop him," Jesus told them, "because no one who performs a miracle in my name will be able soon afterward to say evil things about me. For whoever is not against us is for us.

Milagres de cura e provisão

A oração da fé salvará o enfermo. Deus provê, cura e intervém quando clamamos a Ele com fé genuína.

This prayer made in faith will heal the sick; the Lord will restore them to health, and the sins they have committed will be forgiven. So then, confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, so that you will be healed. The prayer of a good person has a powerful effect.

Elijah was the same kind of person as we are. He prayed earnestly that there would be no rain, and no rain fell on the land for three and a half years. Once again he prayed, and the sky poured out its rain and the earth produced its crops.

Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up to heaven, thanked God for them, broke them, and gave them to the disciples to distribute to the people. They all ate and had enough, and the disciples took up twelve baskets of what was left over.

Jesus Heals a Crippled Woman on the Sabbath

One Sabbath Jesus was teaching in a synagogue. A woman there had an evil spirit that had kept her sick for eighteen years; she was bent over and could not straighten up at all. When Jesus saw her, he called out to her, "Woman, you are free from your sickness!" He placed his hands on her, and at once she straightened herself up and praised God.

The official of the synagogue was angry that Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, so he spoke up and said to the people, "There are six days in which we should work; so come during those days and be healed, but not on the Sabbath!"

The Lord answered him, "You hypocrites! Any one of you would untie your ox or your donkey from the stall and take it out to give it water on the Sabbath. Now here is this descendant of Abraham whom Satan has kept in bonds for eighteen years; should she not be released on the Sabbath?" His answer made his enemies ashamed of themselves, while the people rejoiced over all the wonderful things that he did.

Jesus performed this first miracle in Cana in Galilee; there he revealed his glory, and his disciples believed in him.

Seeing this miracle that Jesus had performed, the people there said, "Surely this is the Prophet who was to come into the world!"

Jesus said to him, "Do you believe because you see me? How happy are those who believe without seeing me!"

The Purpose of This Book

In his disciples' presence Jesus performed many other miracles which are not written down in this book. But these have been written in order that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that through your faith in him you may have life.

Then the other disciple, who had reached the tomb first, also went in; he saw and believed. ( They still did not understand the scripture which said that he must rise from death.)

Discernimento nos sinais

A Bíblia alerta contra falsos milagres e sinais enganosos. Devemos provar os espíritos e não seguir sinais que desviam de Deus.

"Prophets or interpreters of dreams may promise a miracle or a wonder, in order to lead you to worship and serve gods that you have not worshiped before. Even if what they promise comes true, do not pay any attention to them. The Lord your God is using them to test you, to see if you love the Lord with all your heart. Follow the Lord and honor him; obey him and keep his commands; worship him and be faithful to him.

Then I saw three unclean spirits that looked like frogs. They were coming out of the mouth of the dragon, the mouth of the beast, and the mouth of the false prophet. They are the spirits of demons that perform miracles. These three spirits go out to all the kings of the world, to bring them together for the battle on the great Day of Almighty God.

The Demand for a Miracle

Then some teachers of the Law and some Pharisees spoke up. "Teacher," they said, "we want to see you perform a miracle."

"How evil and godless are the people of this day!" Jesus exclaimed. "You ask me for a miracle? No! The only miracle you will be given is the miracle of the prophet Jonah. In the same way that Jonah spent three days and nights in the big fish, so will the Son of Man spend three days and nights in the depths of the earth.

The Unbelieving Towns

The people in the towns where Jesus had performed most of his miracles did not turn from their sins, so he reproached those towns. "How terrible it will be for you, Chorazin! How terrible for you too, Bethsaida! If the miracles which were performed in you had been performed in Tyre and Sidon, the people there would have long ago put on sackcloth and sprinkled ashes on themselves, to show that they had turned from their sins! I assure you that on the Judgment Day God will show more mercy to the people of Tyre and Sidon than to you! And as for you, Capernaum! Did you want to lift yourself up to heaven? You will be thrown down to hell! If the miracles which were performed in you had been performed in Sodom, it would still be in existence today! You can be sure that on the Judgment Day God will show more mercy to Sodom than to you!"

A criação como milagre

O próprio corpo humano é milagre de Deus. Toda a criação testifica do poder e da sabedoria do Criador.

You created every part of me;

you put me together in my mother’s womb.

I praise you because you are to be feared;

all you do is strange and wonderful.

I know it with all my heart.

Thanksgiving to God for His Justice#HEBREW TITLE: A psalm by David.

I will praise you, Lord, with all my heart;

I will tell of all the wonderful things you have done.

Well then, the Lord himself will give you a sign: a young woman who is pregnant will have a son and will name him Immanuel.

Now all this happened in order to make come true what the Lord had said through the prophet, "A virgin will become pregnant and have a son, and he will be called Immanuel" (which means, "God is with us").

but they saw him walking on the water. "It’s a ghost!" they thought, and screamed. They were all terrified when they saw him.

Jesus spoke to them at once, "Courage!" he said. "It is I. Don’t be afraid!"

But Jesus heard it and said to Jairus, "Don’t be afraid; only believe, and she will be well."

When he came near Jerusalem, at the place where the road went down the Mount of Olives, the large crowd of his disciples began to thank God and praise him in loud voices for all the great things that they had seen: "God bless the king who comes in the name of the Lord! Peace in heaven and glory to God!"

After saying this, he was taken up to heaven as they watched him, and a cloud hid him from their sight.

I fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to me, Saul, Saul! Why do you persecute me?

Locusts

Then the Lord said to Moses, "Go and see the king. I have made him and his officials stubborn, in order that I may perform these miracles among them and in order that you may be able to tell your children and grandchildren how I made fools of the Egyptians when I performed the miracles. All of you will know that I am the Lord."
