Milagres
Os milagres manifestam o poder soberano de Deus. Desde a criação até os sinais de Jesus e dos apóstolos, Deus intervém sobrenaturalmente na história para revelar sua glória e amor.
O Deus dos milagres
Para Deus nada é impossível. Ele abriu o mar, fez cair fogo do céu e ressuscitou mortos. Seu poder não tem limites.
And Jesus having earnestly beheld, said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
And Jesus having earnestly beheld, said to them, "With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible."
because nothing will be impossible with God."
"Behold, I [am] YHWH, God of all flesh: is anything too wonderful for Me?"
And Moses stretches out his hand toward the sea, and YHWH causes the sea to go on by a strong east wind all the night, and makes the sea become dry ground, and the waters are cleaved, and the sons of Israel go into the midst of the sea on dry land, and the waters [are] a wall to them, on their right and on their left.
I mention the doings of YAH, || For I remember Your wonders of old, And I have meditated on all Your working, || And I talk concerning Your doings.
You [are] the God doing wonders. You have made Your strength known among the peoples,
Milagres pela fé
Se tiverdes fé como um grão de mostarda, movereis montanhas. A fé é a chave que acessa o poder miraculoso de Deus.
And Jesus said to them, "Through your want of faith; for truly I say to you, if you may have faith as a grain of mustard, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move, and nothing will be impossible to you,
And Jesus answering said to them, "Truly I say to you, if you may have faith, and may not doubt, not only this of the fig tree will you do, but even if to this mountain you may say, Be lifted up and be cast into the sea, it will come to pass;
And Jesus said to him, "If you are able to believe! All things are possible to the one that is believing";
And Jesus, having looked on them, says, "With men it is impossible, but not with God; for all things are possible with God."
And He said, "The things impossible with men are possible with God."
and He did not do many mighty works there, because of their unbelief.
Sinais e prodígios
Os apóstolos realizaram sinais e maravilhas em nome de Jesus. Os dons do Espírito incluem a operação de milagres e a fé sobrenatural.
Men, Israelites! Hear these words: Jesus the Nazarene, a man approved of God among you by mighty works, and wonders, and signs, that God did through Him in the midst of you, according as also you yourselves have known,
And they having prayed, the place was shaken in which they were gathered together, and they were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and were speaking the word of God with freedom,
also mighty works—not common—God was working through the hands of Paul, so that even to the ailing were brought from his body handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them; the evil spirits also went forth from them.
The signs, indeed, of the apostle were worked among you in all patience, in signs, and wonders, and mighty deeds,
And some, indeed, God set in the Assembly: first apostles, secondly prophets, thirdly teachers, afterward powers, afterward gifts of healings, helpings, governings, various kinds of tongues.
for to one through the Spirit has been given a word of wisdom, and to another a word of knowledge, according to the same Spirit; and to another faith in the same Spirit, and to another gifts of healings in the same Spirit; and to another in-workings of mighty deeds; and to another prophecy; and to another discernings of spirits; and to another [various] kinds of tongues; and to another interpretation of tongues:
And Jesus said, "Do not forbid him, for there is no one who will do a mighty work in My Name, and will be readily able to speak evil of Me: for he who is not against us is for us;
Milagres de cura e provisão
A oração da fé salvará o enfermo. Deus provê, cura e intervém quando clamamos a Ele com fé genuína.
and the prayer of faith will save the distressed one, and the LORD will raise him up, and if he may have committed sins, they will be forgiven to him. Be confessing to one another the trespasses, and be praying for one another, that you may be healed; very strong is a working supplication of a righteous man;
Elijah was a similar-feeling man as us, and with prayer he prayed—not to rain, and it did not rain on the land three years and six months; and again he prayed, and the sky gave rain, and the land brought forth her fruit.
and having taken the five loaves and the two fishes, having looked up to the sky, He blessed them, and broke, and was giving to the disciples to set before the multitude; and they ate, and were all filled, and there was taken up what was over to them of broken pieces, twelve baskets.
And He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath, and behold, there was a woman having a spirit of disability [for] eighteen years, and she was bent together, and not able to bend back at all, and Jesus having seen her, called [her] near and said to her, "Woman, you have been loosed from your disability"; and He laid on her [His] hands, and immediately she was set upright, and was glorifying God. And the chief of the synagogue answering—much displeased that on the Sabbath Jesus healed—said to the multitude, "Six days there are in which it is necessary to be working; in these, then, coming, be healed, and not on the day of the Sabbath." Then the LORD answered him and said, "Hypocrite, do not each of you loose his ox or donkey from the stall on the Sabbath, and having led [it] away, water [it]? And this one, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan bound eighteen years, behold, did [she] not ought to be loosed from this bond on the day of the Sabbath?" And He saying these things, all who were opposed to Him were being ashamed, and all the multitude were rejoicing over all the glorious things that are being done by Him.
This [is the] beginning of the signs Jesus did in Cana of Galilee, and revealed His glory, and His disciples believed in Him;
The men, then, having seen the sign that Jesus did, said, "This is truly the Prophet who is coming into the world";
Jesus says to him, "Because you have seen Me, Thomas, you have believed; blessed [are] those having not seen, and having believed." Many indeed, therefore, other signs Jesus also did before His disciples that are not written in this scroll; and these have been written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing, you may have life in His Name.
then, therefore, the other disciple who came first to the tomb entered also, and he saw and believed; for they did not yet know the Writing, that it was necessary for Him to rise again out of the dead.
Discernimento nos sinais
A Bíblia alerta contra falsos milagres e sinais enganosos. Devemos provar os espíritos e não seguir sinais que desviam de Deus.
"When a prophet or a dreamer of a dream arises in your midst, and he has given a sign or wonder to you, and the sign and the wonder has come to pass, which he has spoken of to you, saying, Let us go after other gods (which you have not known) and serve them, you do not listen to the words of that prophet or to that dreamer of the dream, for your God YHWH is trying you to know whether you are loving your God YHWH with all your heart and with all your soul; you walk after your God YHWH, and you fear Him, and you keep His commands, and you listen to His voice, and you serve Him, and you cleave to Him.
and I saw [come] out of the mouth of the dragon, and out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet, three unclean spirits like frogs— for they are spirits of demons, doing signs—which go forth to the kings of the earth, and of the whole world, to bring them together to the battle of that great day of God the Almighty.
Then certain of the scribes and Pharisees answered, saying, "Teacher, we will to see a sign from You." And He answering said to them, "A generation, evil and adulterous, seeks a sign, and a sign will not be given to it, except the sign of Jonah the prophet; for as Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights, so will the Son of Man be in the heart of the earth three days and three nights.
Then He began to reproach the cities in which were done most of His mighty works, because they did not convert. "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! Because, if in Tyre and Sidon had been done the mighty works that were done in you, long ago in sackcloth and ashes they had converted; but I say to you, to Tyre and Sidon it will be more tolerable in [the] day of judgment than for you. And you, Capernaum, which were exalted to Heaven, will be brought down to Hades, because if the mighty works that were done in you had been done in Sodom, it had remained to this day; but I say to you, to the land of Sodom it will be more tolerable in [the] day of judgment than to you."
A criação como milagre
O próprio corpo humano é milagre de Deus. Toda a criação testifica do poder e da sabedoria do Criador.
For You have possessed my reins, || You cover me in my mother’s belly. I confess You, because I have been fearfully distinguished. Your works [are] wonderful, || And my soul is knowing [it] well.
TO THE OVERSEER. [SET] ON "DEATH OF THE SON." A PSALM OF DAVID. I confess, O YHWH, with all my heart, || I recount all Your wonders,
Therefore the Lord Himself gives a sign to you, || Behold, the virgin is conceiving, || And is bringing forth a Son, || And has called His Name Immanuel,
And all this has come to pass, that it may be fulfilled that was spoken by the LORD through the prophet, saying, "Behold, the virgin will conceive, and she will bring forth a Son, and they will call His Name Emmanuel," which is, being interpreted, "God with us."
And they having seen Him walking on the sea, thought [it] to be an apparition, and cried out, for they all saw Him, and were troubled, and immediately He spoke with them, and says to them, "Take courage! I AM; do not be afraid."
and Jesus having heard, answered him, saying, "Do not be afraid, only believe, and she will be saved."
and as He is coming near now, at the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began rejoicing to praise God with a great voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying, "Blessed [is] the King coming in the Name of the LORD; peace in Heaven, and glory in the highest!"
And having said these things—they beholding—He was taken up, and a cloud received Him up from their sight;
I also fell to the ground, and I heard a voice saying to me, Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?
And YHWH says to Moses, "Go to Pharaoh, for I have declared his heart hard, and the heart of his servants, so that I set these signs of Mine in their midst, and so that you recount in the ears of your son, and of your son’s son, that which I have done in Egypt, and My signs which I have set among them, and you have known that I [am] YHWH."
